Will we get collision on the 8th? 343 has said we won’t get any new content in multiplayer but I sure hope there will be an update with gameplay and stability fixes. And I hope collision will be added. I haven’t seen any comments from anyone at 343 that actually address gameplay updates so that’s a little worrisome.

The chopper was changed, intentionally it seems. Grind the wheels on a vehicle and watch it shred a tank. Not so useful in PVP as you get destroyed out they’ll move most the time before you can destroy their vehicle, but you can test it in customs. That said, it’s collision definitely feels wonky.
That’ll be $30 US dollars plz oh wait no that’ll be $40 by the time we release it due to inflation.
On A serious note, yeah collision would probably benifit the game.
It’s a sad state that jokes about having to pay for bug fixes and gameplay fixes actually seem believable

It’s desync - the game has major networking issues.
I mean… major networking issues aren’t what caused 343 to make the stupid decision to remove player collision.
It’s just them making bad decisions and inventing excuses for them like “the feedback is mixed” when the feedback is 90% for them to bring back player collision.

Why is no one entertaining the possibility that lack of player collision is an intentional design decision? Is there collision with enemies in the single player game?
Lack of collision in multiplayer prevents a lot of griefing possibilities. Clearly, many people are not happy with that tradeoff, which is fine to express feedback about that, but I’m not sure why the assumption is that it’s unintentional.
It’s sort of like how they turned off team damage for Quick Play. It kind of bothers me, but it does have its advantages in preventing griefing. I wish they had team damage indicators in Ranked (like a green flare on your reticle or something) when you hurt a teammate just so that people are more aware that it’s different than Quick Play and BTB. I think some people don’t know or they forget when switching between the playlists.
Um… Yes… It was an intentional design decision… But it was a horrible one, which is why 90% of the players want it back. Hence the existence of this post.

No it doesn’t. This argument is absurd. About all it prevents is pushing an afk player off the edge.
Turning off friendly fire prevents a lot of griefing possibilities, turning off collision is just stupid.

Enemy player collision whether its in the game or not (I don’t even know at this point), will not fix the melee issues caused by desync
I don’t doubt it!
(20 character minimum)
Screwing over ranked play to stifle quick play griefers isn’t a great trade.

Such a shame. The most fun thing about the chopper was ramming enemy vehicles and destroying them instantly. Now crashing vehicles head on hardly seems to do a thing.
I will say, the red kill marks for some of my accidental betrayals have fooled me a good few times. It’s like congratulating me for teamkilling. Green or blue marks might be more useful.
But collision needs to be always on, and fixed. Friendly fire… eh, I haven’t been playing social so it hasn’t affected me (mostly because the only playlist with any meaningful gameplay rn is ranked)
This thread is not about enemy player collision, melee, or desync; I don’t understand what you are talking about
they do?
I feel like I run through enemies all the time, and my melee’s don’t connect sometimes because of it.
