Team DLC (June 23 - July 6)
Team Oddball (July 7 - 20)
Big Team Swat (July 21 - Aug 3)
Community Forge Race (Aug 4 - 17)
Extraction (Aug 18 - Sept 1)
No playdates but nice to see Race making a comeback with some community input!
Just calling it ‘Community Forge Race’ has my hopes up, but I want to hear more before I get excited. I’d like to see tracks from HaloTracks, HaloCustoms, ForgeHub, etc. And more details on the gametype settings.

It looks like they’re open to suggestions, so give Bravo your thoughts and spread the word:

Awesome to see more dlc in matchmaking! I didn’t see it until i saw this thread, so I’ll hop into tomorrow morning to support the playlist. As for race, I’ve never played any of the race playlists in any halo game just because I’ve always missed them so i’ll try it when it comes
Love Race, and sorely miss Rocket Race. I miss Rocket Hog Race, too, but it’s not the same without the Pro Pipe.

The “Compatible Halo 4 gametype”?? If that means the same one they used in December, then it’s not community - the 343 version has flaws that wont work with most community forged tracks. The “Community” uses the gametype Race v1.1 or Race v2.1 which were community made and work just like the version from Reach - even better.
If they agree to use the gametype the Halo Racing community uses, he’ll have dozens of great tracks to choose from. If not, then we all lose.
EDIT - We don’t ‘lose’, sorry if I came across negative. There are so many great race maps out there that will not be considered because they might not work with that version of Race. I’m sure the talented forgers will offer some good maps.

I prefer Rocket Race, especially blasting around the larger maps on Halo 3. Hopefully, they’ll give us the chance to play it again in the Master Chief Collection.

Sounds like they’re using their own gametype, but some seem willing to make the necessary accommodations.

Can we make the mongoose destructible this time around. The last time race was in MM, the playlist got bland fairly quick. Not enough variety to keep a game spiced up. If you were able to start in the front and drive fairly well, you would most likely win.
If we made it 2 player teams and we could destroy the mongoose (with no player damage) with about 2 or 3 successful rocket shots, then we would have a more frantic and exciting race on our hands. We can have one the goose respawn after a few seconds and it would alternate between driver and gunner (example, player 1 starts as driver, player 2 as gunner. when their goose is destroyed they both have to wait about 5 seconds before they goose respawns and they are both instantly attached to it with their roles reversed. Repeat process every time their goose blows up).
I would love to see some kind of new twist on the race gametype and also have a shot at mongoose destroyer (the hardest and only vehicle commendation I dont have…)
Thoughts?
