Suicide Bans Because of Gun Challenges are DUMB

Hey there, I’m just a casual gamer, but these gun challenges SUCK. I completely understand getting kills with a weapon in multiplayer, but the rate at which you actually get your hands on these guns is ridiculous. I have a 10 Gravity Hammer AND a 10 Cindershot challenge just about every week it seems. Paired with the unbearable Attrition game mode, my life is misery. Nevertheless, I went straight into Fiesta to complete these challenges and got my hands on both of these weapons ONCE per game for four games straight. After praying to the gods of new (343) and even throwing in a splash of heresy and communing with our previous overlords (Bungie), I had a great (and innocent) idea to just commit the slip-and-slide when my loadout in Fiesta consisted of the standard-issue mall cop taser and plasma pistol, or any other painful combination of anguish and tyranny. I would occasionally get some kills with the weapons I needed or ones good enough to make me feel pretty. Without warning, I was removed from the game for self-destructing too many times and gained absolutely NO progress on the weapons I DID get kills with.
If there is going to be a self-destruction penalty like this, there needs to be a progress bar or a couple of warnings to let the player know mommy and daddy aren’t happy with their behavior.
My solutions are as follows:
Tone down weapon kill requirements in challenges or increase the probability of obtaining these weapons in-game modes like fiesta and maybe even in normal modes.
Have much more transparency on what the self-destruction limit is and its penalties.
Maybe even increase the base ammo in guns in Fiesta so that more challenges can be completed before Timmy and I put our heads through the wall.

Finally,
It is with a heavy heart that Timmy and I have discovered that our only purpose in Fiesta is to walk to the middle of the map and selflessly give our lives to the enemy team as nourishment since self-destructing to get the weapons we need is a felony. Dear 343, take pity on our sinful souls and deliver us to less blind rage-inducing meadows (preferably with the crazy hard to get weapons we need to finish our excruciating challenges). Amen

Also you have to do the majority of the damage with said gun for it to count.

Hahahaha why even let you suicide at all? These bans just get dumber and dumber and are lazy inferior tools when developers don’t want to actually think.

I’d suggest this is what challenge swaps are designed for, if we didn’t have to burn them all on BTB challenges we can’t do because BTB is broken

I’m glad you got banned, people who suicide make you lose the match intentionally, next time just play the game normally and you won’t get banned

Exactly why we need my “suck ban!” People that go too negative in a game should just be banned.

I’ve seen teammates going 0-18 in some of my matches, not even kidding…

Who cares? Ignore them. If that is how they want to spend their time they spent $60 to do it how they want. What If that is enjoyable to them?

Because bans in courage people to keep playing. IDK why not play the game and get the weapons naturally or ignore the challenge all together?

Since suicides’ do not decrease your score I do not see this as a form of greifing on top of having fiesta be a legit “BS go have fun don’t take it that serious mode” makes the ban make les sense.

Here’s a tip. Just play the game. You’ll get the challenges within the week or even in a few days if you aim for them. Pretty sure just playing 4 games (about 1 hour) of fiesta will get you or someone in the match with weapons you want multiple times. Consistent suiciding it’s just stupid and low and should definitely incite a ban for however long.
