Make these playing modes end with bosses that can have a small chance to drop a armor set / weapon skins or emblem specific to that mode. (For example in this case all the items would be Firefight themed.) All the big MMOs have used a system like this to make the players be more encouraged to play a given mode. It might be best to have a pack that is obtainable only by defeating the level however this pack shouldn’t always have those items they should be hard to get so that players will keep coming back. The pack could most of the time just have single use items like vehicles, weapons, boosts etc. maybe just a few items depends on how long the level is if it’s really short could even just have 1 item. I also think some RP should be given from doing them so that the players who have already gotten all the good items from that pack would still be interested in playing it for the RP for the other packs.
Make there be a puzzle to the modes like this for example the boss might spit poison and you have to get it to walk into it’s own poison in order to defeat it, or maybe someone needs to be shooting it in the head at the same time as someone is shooting it in the tail and then it disables it’s shields for a moment and another player then must shoot it in the chest to actually deal any damage to the creature or something like this might need to be a bit harder if there is 8 players that may be to simple but make it a challenge and make it have some rewards that can make it feel like you accomplished something if it’s too late to do something like this with Firefight then that’s understandable but you should really incorporate something like this in the future I think it would be a great addition. If a level is super hard to defeat it should grant a lot of XP and RP.

Yeah it actually stands for “Player vs Environment” which has been used by many mmos over the years. I think “PvC” would have made more sense though for “Player vs Computer” or “Player vs Creeps” some games have used “PvM” for “Player vs Monster” but being as it is aliens in this case that wouldn’t make sense. But they gotta go with whats been used for many years I guess and the PvE is just that, even though my PvC idea would be less confusing not likely any games will switch over to that instead.
I’m really looking forward to this new Firefight not sure exactly what it will have but it sounds cool I have always been a fan of PvE game play in other mmo games, and can’t wait try it on Halo 5.
Flood enemy type
I have an idea. How about a Player vs Enemy mode like firefight, but instead…it’s Warzone SURVIVAL. Here’s how it would work.
- It’s only one wave, but the enemies keep coming…and coming…and coming. - There is no time limit, hold out till you breath your last, even if you run out of ammo. - Bosses spawn in, including LEGENDARY bosses. - You can use your REQ loadout options, including power weapons, but there is a few catches: Power-ups have a duration time of 25% shorter than normal. If you select a power weapon and spawn with it, you have 50% less ammo with it, it would be like having the Famine skull activated with the power weapons. Loadout weapons will still spawn with full starting ammo/still be able to hold maximum ammo capacity. - Ammo remaining in a picked up weapon from a defeated enemy will also have a maximum or 50% less ammo. This also effects weapon pick ups from friendly teammates. - You have ONLY ONE LIFE. Once you die, you must watch your teammates from beyond the grave, in spectator mode.Basically it would be the longer you fight/stay alive, the more intense the action gets. Just throwing an idea out there.
Firefight with the Flood would be amazing. They said there would be hundreds or more combinations of enemies, this should be do-able

That sounds super cool, they could definitely make a mode like that and I’d love to try it out. And the rewards could increase the longer your team lasts.
