The punishment for quitting a game needs to be upped. I have quit around 15 games since I started playing and have yet to receive punishment.
The ONLY time I ever quit is when somebody else has dropped, I really don’t see why I should continue in a game 3v4 for no reason.
I also have never ranked down after quitting.
perhaps if somebody has already dropped you don’t get penalized? If that’s the case then its a nice feature and if not it should be implemented.
I think a manual quit or an idle should result in an instant rank down, a disconnection you get one chance. Second manual or third DC in 50 matches you get put in a quitters league until you win 10 matches without a quit.
CSR;
Firstly randoms should not be matched against fire teams otherwise you are harshly penalizing good player who have no buddy’s to play with.
There needs to be more to it than plain wins as well. I am consistently ranking as the top player on my team in breakout but cant get out of silver. I am gold or plat in all other game types but I feel breakout is the one team mode where individual skill of one player can be neutralized by an average but semi cohesive team.
literally every game for the last 10 I have played with a team where one or two guys got 1 kill or less and guys that think running straight for the flag as soon as you spawn is a good tactic… My KDR isnt always positive but that’s because I’m constantly fighting 3v1 2v1 at the end of the game. I am just dying to play with some better players and see how I can do with 0+ KDR teams.
My suggestion here is that the top skilled player (KDR) on the losing team in certain modes such as breakout and team slayer has his CSR frozen for that particular game
If Halo 5 wants to be the standout competitive shooter that its game play, frame rate and online stability deserves. Then the ranking system needs a lot more work.
I realize my solutions may not be the best but welcome other ideas on how to improve these problems.
