Suggestions for improvement thread

like the title says use this thread to make a list of suggestions for improvements to Forge on pc

(please dont post things pertaining specifically to your system)

ill start with these:
FOV slider
Ultra widescreen support
Uncapped framerate
Full access to keybindings (i want weapon switch back to tab…)
Double tap WASD for thruster pack direction (would be much more intuitive than holding a separate key)
offline play
Mirror planes… i cannot stress how helpful this would be to allow groups to be mirrored across mirror planes that snap to the nodes on forge pieces

feel free to add anything else you can come up with

Lobby chat and chat history
Open Lobby’s (any one can join even withought invite)

Just a few recommendations:

  • Allow True Fullscreen (Don’t know if Windows Store allows this but it should)
  • FOV Slider
  • Unlocked framerate (144 FPS would be fantastic for us 144hz Monitor owners)
  • Allow a random team generator without making people manually switch
  • Allow Spartan customization in-game (Waypoint is very tedious)
  • Lobby Text Chat/Voice Chat

I feel like these would make the experience a WHOLE lot better :slight_smile:

YES! I’ve had so many times where I miss a message and I have to ask people to repeat it. Chat history and lobby chat would help a lot.

How about a “SERVER BROWSER” would make me want to play online. No need to play a multiplayer game online if there is no server browser! That Sux!

Well here is my opinion…

  1. Game runs great
  2. Grafix are great
  3. Forge is kinda intimidating but I’m leaning.
    But…
    IMHO Halo 5 Forge is the worse port for PC than the Halo 2 port was for PC. No server browser! how lame is that? That is why I don’t play the game. AT least I can try to learn
    Forge. Even forge has issues. Like you save a name of the map correctly and the name does not appear in the list. All I get sometimes is showing the message “RETRIEVING DATA” for about 5 mins. and I say the hell with that and start the game anyway. Would have been nice to make sure the game works before you have released it, or would that have been to easy? hehehe It is what it is.

Would be nice to have a switch in settings that you could adjust how long the boost pack can be on. example: time from 2 seconds to 10 seconds max… That would be sweet! :slight_smile:

I would like to have better Icons for the Time and Death Barriers. They are nearly transparent. Really hard to see. IMHO they need to be a Solid Color. I had deployed a timed barrier in one of my maps and decided to remove it. Took me 15 mins. to find the Time Barrier Icon. It needs to to me a solid Color or be able to click on it time and or death barrier to delete like you can on a invisible wall or any other object so you can delete it.

ALSO,… you need to put in a “UNDELETE KEY” its a real pain to have to reboot in forge because you deleted something by accident.

hehehehehe what would be the point of setting up a forum for support and suggestions for a product if you NOT going to answer support questions. Why waste your time setting up a forum in the first place. IMHO that is really stupid roflmfao. There has to be some forums on the net someplace where you can get some type of support for this product. I just have not found it yet. If anybody know where please post a link.

I guess they think all they have to do is make a support forum and just let forum users “try” to help each other, which is ridiculous… especially for this particular game.
