Suggestions for Halo 6

I’m new here.

But I would like to take this opportunity to get across some ideas/suggestions for change to 343 industries. I would love to engage in a realistic and constructive discussion rather than a hostile one which I obseved occured often here.

let’s just be realistic, Halo 5 is not an impressive Halo game at all, it’s has a horrible written repetitive short and linear campaign, it’s partly made up by the significantly improved multiplayer but not enough. I recalled that even 343I had mentioned in the past that most customers played campaign but don’t quote me on this. Halo to me and I and confident to many many other loyal fans as well, is about the lore and the story more so than the MP. While the multiplayer in H5 is a significant improvement from H4 and the right step in direction it still fell short to satisfy many Halo Veterans.

Campaign playable character-
SP: Master Chief exclusive
Coop: Blue Team exclusive
Reason: Team Osiris is just not a well received and developed characters, plus most people just want to play as Chief in the campaign. People just preferred and perceived SIIs as far superior to others. Of course it would be a waste to dump Osiris completely but perhaps they could be further developed in the story not necessarily as playable characters or perhaps in spin offs or other mediums. But the main games are Chief’s shows.
Controls-
Campaign:

  1. Increase base movement speed (somewhere in the middle between H5 and Doom 2016)
  2. Make sliding last longer and allow player to change direction while sliding easier. Sliding speed can maintain the same and sliding can be interrupted by other actions like jumping or boosting)
  3. 2 layer health system (1st layer is shield and 2nd layer is health) shield recharge faster than health.
  4. Maintain infinite sprint and its current speed,but health recharge slower than normal while sprinting and shield does not recharge.
  5. Double thrust before thruster recharge, recharge time remain the same.
  6. Add wall run but not Black Ops 3 or Titanfall style. Wall run is limited and last about 2 to 3 seconds. No infinite combo.
  7. Remove smart scope, Same scoping as Halo 2 where zoom is only limited to long range weapons and some power weapons. Bring Halo 2 lock on back to rocket launcher.
  8. Stickier and more responsive vehicle jacking and bring Halo 2 Wraith’s hijacking back, Halo 2 has the smoothest hijacking control in games.
  9. Clamber in H5 is near perfect
  10. H5 Ground pound is fine.
    Reason: they’re Spartan IIs, they’re man-made gods. Sliding, double thrusting and wall run can create unpredictability and create more opportunities for really cool assassinations and melee. Overall, just more fun and feel more badass.
    Multiplayer:
  11. Increase base movement speed but make it slower than campaign.
  12. Remove sprint all completely or slow down the speed and no infinite sprint.
  13. Shield and health do not recharge while sprinting (if sprint is available)
  14. Halo 5 slide, ground pound and clamber.
  15. Single thrust, shorter thrust distance and thruster recharge slower than H5
  16. Point 7 & 8 in campaign section.
  17. No wall run or more limited wall run
  18. Some campaign movement can be unlocked in Coop mode like firefight.
    Reason: MP is more about balance for competitive play between real human beings. These also address some lingering complaints from long time Halo players especially the distaste for sprint. Increased base movement speed means the game can maintain faster pace than H1-3 and doesn’t feel too dated. Base movement speed shouldn’t be as quick as campaign or else it’ll make aiming too difficult and break Halo gameplay which is partly about precision aiming. Thruster and slide should add as minor options for escape and shouldn’t give significant advantage or spammed.
