Like anyone else, I have been a victim to the overall lack of reliable functionality when it relates to Halo 5. The most recent being the network issues (which, until now, I was lucky enough to avoid). My most recent issue was being removed from a fire team, thusly, removed from a game and brought back to the main menus. Now, I am a very big proponent of, don’t join a game you don’t intend on finishing so it comes as a huge nuisance when someone leaves mid-game, due to the impact it leaves on myself and my teammates. This leaves me to a suggestion for 343i…if someone leaves a game; allow someone to join mid game to fill the void. I know certain playlists allow it, like social/unranked playlists, but why not allow the same privilege to a playlist that is ranked such as team slayer, or arena? Obviously there is a big rank deduction system and temporary ban in place to penalize those that leave but the problem isn’t just faced by one person, so allowing someone to join mid game would at least help fill the gap left by the either uninterested, or disgruntled player.
As for my own issue with being removed from the game (thusly penalized via points deduction and subsequent ban), I have to say I am seriously disappointed that 343i seemingly cannot fix issues that have plagued the game from the start. While I have been a very loyal fan to the game of halo, I may have to consider laying to rest the idea of continuing on playing, due to the consistent problems, and lack of proper support. Id rather not as halo has been fun from the start but the compiling issues don’t help the case. Perhaps, future games should be more focused on less additions to the game (requisition store, packs and such) and more to keeping the game running seamlessly.
