Suggestion for Matchmaking Wait . . .

So I had about a half hour to kill today and figured I’d jump into some mutliplayer . . .

And for the last twenty minutes I’ve been waiting for The MCC to load me up a match. Clearly there are (more) issues with Matchmaking, so why don’t we get any kind of notice? Why can’t we get some kind of message on the screen saying, “Hey, this won’t work right now, so don’t bother wasting your life sitting at Find Game screen, that’s never going to go anywhere” . . . ?

343, are we and are our time worth so very little to you that you can’t even do us this small courtesy?

Another thing, but along the same lines, was that in previous versions of Halo it was possible to see the number of players in any given playlist. This was a useful feature because it gave an indication of where you could find a quick game, and it could also be used as an indicator of server problems when the numbers were unusually low.

Agreed that would be a great feature to have again!

There may not actually be a way to know if it is not going to work or not. I have heard that when connecting to something like a web server there are a number of retries performed before it is determined that an error has occurred, not sure about this.

Great idea about the number of players.

where did the option to party up go? If the wait is going to be long ( though it hasn’t been so bad for me, It seems I might be a lucky one) at least we would not have to find new players every time.

Yeah, it’s BS. In previous Halos searching restarted if nothing had happened for a while. Now it will literally search forever. I once fell asleep while searching. 3 hours later when I woke up it was still “searching for more players”.

lol, Players (not) Found

I’d like to see the number of people in each playlist as well.
