After the normal ending
fade in to pelican drifting in space
camera pans to show outside of cockpit
After the glare subsides you see that Sgt. Johnson is flying the pelican
“Who did you think it was? Keyes? Heh, he’s really dead, I’m not. No cocky -Yoink- robot’s gonna kill me, I ain’t goin’ nowhere!”
The pelican begins to drift off and the camera pans down, a large dent and some flood blood are seen on the front of the pelican, showing that Sgt. Johnson used Master Chief’s pelican to escape the halo

My idea for a joke ending was better.
You just see Johnson in Heaven scoring with chicks. In addition to the normal ending. He’s been guaranteed to get a woman (yes, I know it was a joke. Doesn’t mean they can’t have a joke cutscene like they did in Halo: CE).
- That typing was so bad, I could barely read it. I don’t need to be a mod to tell you that they won’t listen to you if “yu tak li3k ths”
Sgt. is a commonly used abbreviation for Sergeant. And you’re not the only one who want Sgt. Johnson back.

Johnson was killed off for the impact. No one expected him to be killed off.
I personally don’t see what the big deal with his character is anyway. It’s such a cliched potrayal of that type of soldier/sgt it’s boring and overused.

Because then what would be the next step? Bring back Sam as well? Johnson is dead, he mustn’t return.
