This double XP is very useful to grind to SR 152 (I am 150) but once it will end, then it will be too long to reach the max rank. I would like to ask to my Spartans Brothers what do you think about that? Is a permanent double XP should be the new standard of the XP system? How to show this idea too 343 Industries? Should we create a petition or something like that? I think this game is way too long, even more than reach (I’m Inheritor so I know how it’s really long).
I strongly disagree. The 500 people who have 152 would be ripped off for one thing. The whole point is it is very hard to get. I am 295k away and it would stink to essentially have the xp required to get 152 cut in half.
I think it’s meant to be a bit prestigious to get 152, you don’t get much for achieving it so it’s for the hardcore players only so double exp all the time is a bit much.

Could you elaborate here how is the xp required for 152 cut in half here? Hes not saying anything about cutting down the amount of xp thats required for max hes talking about the xp timeframe. Also you still have to earn the same amount of xp whether its 20k a game or 10k a game.
Also i will correct you its not hard to reach max just like in reach it is just a long grind plain and simple.

I don’t think the double xp should be permanent, once a month or every other month for a weekend would be real nice though. Getting 152 should be a milestone earned by those that took the time and effort to achieve it. I’m 12,900,000 away and would like my efforts to mean something when I get it.

If the XP is always double it takes half the time. Simple math. Just like it takes half the time to earn $100 if you make $20 instead of $10. If the XP had always been double I would have reached 152 almost two years ago. Getting to 150 is easy, 24 million XP. 152 is 50 million.
Also, if I was a 147 (meaning I have about 10 million XP) I would be mindful about “correcting” someone who has 5x the amount.

Thats not what i asked you in the post you specifically singled out the xp and not the time, asked you a simple question and now you got to get hostile about it.
Also i specifically stated that i was neutral on the permanent double xp that the original poster brought up.
If you are a higher level all it means is that you sunk more time into the game than others… And it seems you looked up my service record… how sad.
Let me tell you something i don’t care how far away xp wise i am or one is away so yah put that in a pipe and smoke it.
I am torn, on one hand yeah it would be nice but then on the other it probably would tick off others who have achieved it already. But I am leaning towards it would be nice to be left double. Only because all you get for SR152 is an emblem. It has also been tweeted whatever this token is clealry isn’t going to be much, clealry not even an armor set. So there really wouldn’t be that much harm. It wouldn’t be as bad as what they did to helioskrill armor set when they just dumped it into the req system or the “exclusive sticker shock skins” they later made available for every one with req points… So why not just leave double as the standard?

Not necessarily depends on how you look at it. But i have no further interest to go back and forth with you.

The Grind to 152 was indeed a long grind, especially from 151 to 152; the last million took forever, but playing with good friends and having fun made reaching 152 very special. Placing that last XP boost on, put a smile on my face knowing that I now can sell those boosts for RPs, in hope for some Tartarus’ Gavels. Keep grinding everyone, but remember to have fun because it will make reaching the end seem sooner.
We already have xp boosts I don’t think we need double xp

You know you could always just buy those gavels if you really want them and don’t want to wait on rng.
I would rather have a few days every few months be double xp than to have it all the time. I was honestly surprised this holiday double xp lasted as long as it did. I should have done more grinding, but I just didn’t have the free time
Or just put one or two legendary XP boosts in the daily login and daily win pack. Looks like that would work for everyone. You still have to play a ton, but it gets a little soothing.
If there is a way to increase the drop rate for higher level boosts, I’d be for that.
Or perhaps reduce the price of the legendary xp boosts packs to 100k from 150k when they are available.
For those that took advantage when hcs events were on, there were plenty of boosts to be had then as well.
In summary, I would not be in favour of wholesale permanent double xp, but would be in favour of slightly more accessible high level boosts.
Don’t cheapen the accomplishment of those that did the grind, but give existing grinders and remaining population a bit of incentive to continue.
i understand it’s not cool for high level… But why not a double XP only for weekend like Halo 3? With maybe a special selection especially for this?
Most of you loved Halo 3, I think it’s not a bad idea!
