Suggested change to Gold Packs...

Here’s the deal… I’ve officially unlocked everything in the REQ system, short of the things I’ve needed to buy to unlock which I didn’t want to do. Now, I basically get a Gold Pack after every Warzone game thanks to the 6,000 RP you get each time after you’ve unlocked everything… which is awesome, except for one thing…

I want all of the cool stuff I’ve unlocked, legendary items and what not… NOT stupid needlers, uncommon REQs, etc. at this point! If I wanted those lower level items I’d be buying Silver packs. It’s really frustrating… why put in all that work and still get only three Phaetons (one I need for commendations) after another 20 or so Gold Packs?

What I’m ultimately saying is that they should adjust the rarity of items available in those packs. The game has been out long enough that most new players would appreciate it to try and catch up, and most mainstays would appreciate it so they feel rewarded for their efforts, not forced to play with Needlers after 10,000 RP. Thoughts? Anyone else agree with me on this?

You wanna catch up with the others that have been playing from the start? How about putting in the same effort? If not, you can still buy packs with real cash lololol

I agree - I’d prefer the ranges be like this
Bronze - Common/Uncommon/Rare
Silver - Uncommon/Rare/Ultra Rare
Gold - Rare/Ultra Rare/Legendary
The proportions for how each pack would be laid out would be 10:4:1
If I’m digging for Answers, Gold is my best bet to get Rares. If I want Ghosts, Silver or bronze would work.
With the way it’s setup now, I am actually starting to run out of mongooses and i’ll need to hit the bronze packs again…

Play more

So… Are you saying that Gold Packs should contain Rare to Legendary or Ultra Rare to Legendary REQs, rather than Uncommon to Legendary REQs? If you are, I agree with you. I’m certified for the High Five, the SPNKr EX and SPNKr Prime, the Mantis, and the ONI Scorpion, and I rarely get any of those. Instead, I get Energy Swords. I play a lot of WZFF. Having an Energy Sword in WZFF is basically a death sentence.

Long story short, I would appreciate less overlap between Silver and Gold Packs.

With real cash? Nah. :stuck_out_tongue:

I think Gold packs are fine as-is. If the rarities were adjusted that way, then people would only buy Gold packs. I know Warzone’s balance is pretty much nonexistent, but pretty much everyone would be running around with Ultra Rares and Legendaries. Even worse, people willing to spend money on REQ packs would further push Warzone into pay-to-win territory.

You clearly didn’t read my post. I’ve also played from the start, plenty of effort, and have unlocked everything in the REQ system. What are you implying I should catch up on?

I play plenty but also have time restraints from life in general - family, work, volunteering etc. But all I’m saying is (read below).

Right on the money - this would be a much better system I think. Mixing uncommons in that you get in Gold packs is infuriating!

Exactly, glad you understood what I was trying to get across! Even taking uncommons out of Gold packs would be much better.

Fair enough - my only argument would be that since the game has been out for a year already, old-timers like myself would love to have more fun with greater numbers of our unlocked REQs, instead of opening Gold packs to find Uncommons at this point. It made sense to me at launch for proper progression of the REQ system, but now, they could adjust it - new players would also appreciate this so they can unlock cool items faster and at least have a chance against year one players and their REQ armada!

…So that maxed out players can run amok with constant Mythic and Legendary items? This would make Warzone hell for newer players. As you said, packs are now significantly cheaper because of the REQ points rebate in every pack. That right there is your increased odds for better items.

My follow up paragraph also mentioned how it could be good for new players as well - but I get your point.
