Such a great series

Hello everybody i’m new to Halo way-point forum i’m glad that you all make such a great video game series (the Halo series) and i hope that you keep up the great work, please keep the Halo series going. Thank You.

  1. Welcome to Waypoint!
  2. I agree
  3. This doesn’t strictly belong in the Halo 4 section mate

Also, here are some tips:

  1. Don’t rock the boat
  2. Don’t advertise/spam
  3. Halo 1 is the best game in the series
  4. For the love of god, never mention COD, and if you do, make sure you are criticising it at all times.
    See ya around mate!

Personally I hope to never see an end to Halo. It’s a vast universe that’s so amazing I want to explore it.

It doesn’t even have to be with Master Chief. I enjoyed both Halo Wars and ODST.

Halo should live on beyond the new trilogy and even beyond 343i when need be.

Welcome to waypoint

Welcome to Waypoint! To answer your question, I would like to see Halo go on for maybe another seven years or a decade at the max.

I disagree. All good things must come to an end, otherwise they go stale. Just take a look at fallen franchises such as The Simpsons and Star Wars; they once conquered the world and became staple of popular culture, now they’re mostly remembered fondly for the old content. It’s better to try your best while in the “golden age”, rather than try to go on forever and milk the franchise as much as possible. When you start doing the latter, you start creating bizarre, cash-in products like this.

Would you rather Halo have a great run and climatic ending, or would you prefer for it to be run into the ground so that it can last longer?

fixed but yes follow these in the world too

I would rather have Halo have a good run and have a great respectful ending.

I remember them saying they would want to keep working on Halo for another 20 years if it’s possible… Not just games, but the whole Universe.

what in Death’s name is that?

HALO is going to die!!! Maybe not die, but become COD. You cannot make a game similar to COD, because COD is already horrible, and HALO is not. No one cares what happens to COD, but people DO care what happens to HALO.

What are you talking about? Halo has so much to offer to just stop suddenly.

I feel that the story should be countined and expanded for many years to come. but i as sated above by Phenotype i whould want the cheif’s story to end before the whole thing gets stale

I agree that everyone is entitled to their own opinions, I said it because loads of people get flamed for disagreeing

CE isn’t the best game, but it was the first. Made the biggest impact on those of us that played Halo in 2001 when it first came out. But I’d say ODST is the best so far, plus it’s HD and full of seven years of game design learning on Bungie’s part. Plus that music.

But yeah, welcome to the meat grinder, newbie. Be kind and courteous, and on a personal note I request that you try to look past insults to what people are really saying. 'Cause people throw insults and ad hominem on here like crazy. Try not to be one of them, please. Be reasonable and open-minded, and always enter discussions with the frame of mind that you are seeking resolution, not congratulation or affirmation. Good luck in the forums.

Courtesy of George Lucas.

I didn’t say stop “suddenly”. I said stop when you’ve realized your burnt-out, with all loose-ties neatly tied up. All I’m saying is that I hate it when franchises degenerate, become “ghosts” of their former selves, and only exist to be milked until they are no longer profitable. Of course Halo is not through yet and remains popular, but I ideally hope that it will last for around 7-10 years before ending:

Welcome to waypoint!

And here’s a wondrous tip: If you can ignore other people’s insults, you go much farther. Thats what I do…and sometimes I insult back.

I remember when a guy just broke down and cussed everyone out cus he couldn’t stand it. He was a newbie too. Good luck!
