This could give us more customization on elites without deriving the Elites Class.
This is very much possible as Bungie has made a Easter egg for the death hologram of elites (When you die and use hologram at same time) Is the Elite with out armor.
Yes, it would be awesome, maybe call it the civilian armor or something. But if they can add new elite armor variants they should also add arbiter armor.

or if we took it all off then we could call it jumpsuit and firefight could be updated with them
they would run faster then normal elites and would only wield swords.
The down side is there shields would be little.

actualy the helmet is only held on by like maybe 2 or 3 peices of code
nothing more.
so is all the armor that you see gone in the pictures.

I dissagre.
It’s clear that the armor generation system reads the elite armor as an entire outfit, and the base model, and spartans peice by peice.
As is, we know from the dead spartans on lone wolf and from hologram glicthes/glitches with the last cutscene that there are attachment helmet combos and other armor varients of existing peices that are able to be used via game code but not in the armory.
Allowing the use of these usable combinations would both be possible via TU, and would offer more customization.

I was not referring to how they could be detached, I was trying to say that the Helmets (Elites, MK VI, Whatever) are a staple in the Halo franchise and being able to remove the helmet (like in ODST) was not a preferred feature in my opinion. I like to play as a “faceless” space marine.
If the helmet/no helmet feature is added for the dinosaurs I demand a Spartan option to remove helmet as well as a face customization system.

the spartan open can’t happen because the helmet code is empty on the inside and is hard coded to the body.
And sence when have the elites been faceless
In every halo we can clearly see there face the only thing we can’t see it the top of there head.

It can happen for Halo 4.
“I prefer to play as a faceless space marine” I don’t like to play as an Elite and was not implying that they were faceless.
Sorry, but this would not interest me too much. It would be neat for a while, but only really usable in Invasion or Elite Slayer. If the elites were more widely used in gametypes I’d be a bit more open to adding more Elite armor permutations. If they were to incorporate the Elites into more of the online gametypes then I’d be looking for a Halo 2 style Heretic Elite armor or Arbiter armor.

i think there should be an elite playlist where its BTB or something but everyone plays as elites(grifball elites would stay in grifball) but then people dont have to play the gametype where its elites-concussion rifles-sticky grenades(cant remember), then it would be better?

I feel like that would work out in everyone’s favor. Players who don’t ever want to play Elite games wouldn’t have to, and if you didn’t want to play as a spartan then you could play on the Elite playlist. It would be better, and I still think they need to add the Arbiter and Heretic armor permutations, I know people who would nerdgasm over that.
