I find it really stupid that I have to rank up to make a siggy and put links in my post. I recommand fixing this soon because there are people who link alot but are low ranked. Not fair and will now will give you alot of bad feedback per the people who post on this site.
Signatures have always been saved for those at Spartan rank or higher, even on the old forums. I dont’ see that and wouldn’t like to see that change. The addition of requiring a few posts to add links into posts I think is actually a good idea. First off it means spammers & bots can’t just sign up and spam away and secondly it gets more people engaging in the community before they can post a link

I had a siggy on the old set up. And it stupid now if someone asks for a link said person cannot post link for the other person.
I think it’s a good system. You only need a 100 posts. That is easly done.
And sigs have always been Spartan. It’s explained in the past as a reward for comitment and dedication to the forums not to keep it out of reach of people who would abuse the feature

I don’t recall you having a signature as you were not a Spartan-Iron on the old iteration of the forums.

Sadly you can’t do any of these anymore. You can see your most recent post in your phone but that’s it.

In the old Waypoint Forums, you could always set up a signature, but it wouldn’t display unless you were of certain ranks. So ultimately, there’s really no difference.
As far as links, I believe the only functionality missing for low-ranked users is the ability to post hyperlinks like this. They can still post text URLs as text like this:
Waypoint no longer automatically converts text to links (probably for security reasons), so text URLs must be copy-pasted into the address bar from now on.
I actually like the new Ranking system.
They do need to add how many posts youre at. Im sure a bunch of stuff that didnt make it into the update will be implemented soon.

Okay so this isn’t just me being lost. I was wondering about that!
Overall though, the new site is WAY better.
I actually like the ranks the way they are, sigs and links included.

You can always “favorite” a thread, not quite an extensive search system, but it can be helpful for tagging a few recent topics
