Hey everybody, here’s a list of things i think 343i should fix in the next Halo: Reach title update:
*Jet Pack and Armor Lock: Not necessarily remove them from Matchmaking, but make a separate Slayer playlist for them, or without them.
*Revert To Last Save glitch: Some may know this glitch already, but for those who don’t, let me explain, sometimes when you use the Revert To Last Save to Revert you to the Last Checkpoint, it restarts the mission instead of Reverting you to the Last Checkpoint (and no, i didn’t chose Restart Mission accidentally).
*TU Slayer Remove from Normal Playlists: It’s annoying to have to play with the TU Slayer rules in BTB, make a separate playlist for TU Slayer.
*Remove The Cage from Living Dead and put Uncaged instead: It’s really annoying to have to be a Zombie on that map because of the pistol campers on top of the house; sometimes you respawn and 2 seconds later you’re dead, even before you could move.
*Remove cR or EXP from Quitters: I HATE people that just join matches to quit, they be banned after they quit 3 matches, not 10 or 5 or whatever the amount is, also, everytime they quit, they should remove 1500 cR or 2000 cR from their rank progression.
*NEW: Fix the bug/glitch that erases all your data (except maps): Sometimes, when you start Reach it will delete all your data and you will have to begin from scratch (only the campaign), also your Spartan shows up with Default armor (but don’t worry, the stuff you bought is still there), but still is annoying to all through the Campaign again.
So those are my ideas for the next update, i hope all those are fixed; also i hope Halo 4 is more like Halo 3 and not like Reach, knowing that you’re using a Modified REACH engine got me really REALLY disappointed (not that i don’t like Reach, it’s awesome, but i would prefer Halo 4 to be more like the original Halo trilogy and not Reach).

It would make my lasos SO much harder to get but it should be patched, lasos should be a REAL challenge, not just “save and quit” when you die.

It NEEDS to stay in all playlists, they should just make a “Vanilla” playlist for those who dont like reach.

This x1000. Im almost an inheritor and I have quit less than 1% of my matches. You should have to finish strong or get penalized.

> Yeah, ALL my time since i started playing Reach, i have only quitted like 10 or 15 Matches (out of like 1900), and they were because of connection errors.

halo reach was awesome and the whole franchise is great.

Why do you want to see it end?
I know, Halo is awesome, i LOVE Halo, but well, to be honest Halo 4 isn’t a really bad idea, what’s a really REALLY bad idea is a whole new trilogy, they should make Halo 4 and after that they should make Halo games based off the books like Halo: Reach
I think it will be good.
They are adding A LOT of cannon which gives me mixed feelings, but as long as the covies stick around, the flood sticks around, and some cool new foes are introduced I dont see why it wont be epic.
Here is what I want for the next Matchmaking update
Core Changes:
-Apply TU to all other playlists that have yet to be updated by the TU.
-Take bleedthrough out of the TU.
-Take out Anniversary Firefight.
-Merge Squad slayer and Team Objective into a 5 on 5 objective focused playlist.
Firefight Changes:
-Create a 4-person firefight playlist with regular firefight settings and NO ARCADE GAMETYPES.
Invasion Changes:
-Take out all maps from invasion that is not Spire, Boneyard, Breakpoint, Hemorrhage, and Paradiso.
-Add Highlands, Breakneck, and Ridgeline.
-Take out all gametypes from invasion that are not Invasion and invasion slayer.
-Add the best community made Invasion maps.

What they should do is tweak their ban algorithms and focus on something that is a genuine problem. Not because a vocal minotirty is crying about this or that being OP.
There have been flaws in the Boot system from day one, when angry little players jump on the gun of the Scorpion or Wraith with the intention of instant booting that player the moment they fire. The Falcon even has this issue, when people suicide on the blades to boot someone out.
It needs to be tweaked to recognize that they were standing on the Vehicle when they were hit and thus give them a suicide.
The Warthog also needs to be tweaked; because it’s just too finicky to operate nowadays. A driver has to really finese it or well, you flip on a little rock and are mobbed.
Overall, i think they need to focus on the real problems of Reach and not just things a small group of people cry about. The Matchmaking system could use a tweak to favor large parties with large parties; Thus killing the random pub stomps.
The ban Hammer for modders who cheat and think they are good.

What about people with poor internet connections that drop them at random times? You have no idea how many of my firefight arcade games end up with just me left because I droped. When I check the game stats it says I DNF when I played till the end. What if their quitting from an emergency, net failure, power outage? Hm?

I rarely play invasion because of boosters and the general poor spawning locations. I wish there were more maps to play it on, especially balanced ones. And HELL NO DON’T TAKE OUT THE ANNIVERSARY FF MAP! Jeeze what are you not bored yet of playing on beachhead or waterfront? I rarely get to play arcade on anniversary, it’s way more awesome, much easier to get wheelman sprees there too. Normally you just get them on beachhead and most people try to blow up your vehicles as soon as the game starts. Grab the ghost they wanted and they’ll blow it up.
You know I’m getting real tired of people who say “get rid of arcade firefight alltogether!” The small minority prefers a challenge ok, but that doesn’t mean everyone wants arcade gone. How often have you been in a limited game and people come in and just burn through the life pool then leave, they want to play arcade. Get rid of the playlist and firefight limited will be flooded with people who die non stop. I hope you like 5 minute games.
There will most likely not be another TU.
Probably not going to happen but I want to see more anniversary maps, they remade 6 maps for use in reach, but there are more that would work great. Infinity would never get voted for, I think that was the largest multiplayer map from any halo game, it took forever to drive from one end to another. But what I mean is maps like Side Winder for capture the flag. Or Boarding Action, Chiron was great for shotgun slayer, Rat Race. Longest - ironically probably the shortest ctf map ever. But they would probably never get made because it’s too close quarters, someone could easily get an overkill with afew frag grenades in the tight spaces.
Playing the anniversary maps I don’t remember the pistol being that powerful, and I played the original Halo PC recently and it didn’t kill that fast in multiplayer, it wasn’t a three shot kill.
