stuck with the alien weapon thing again ?

I’ve only played 2 missions so far, but it seems the BR, and the AR are VERY rare in the campaign. You get stuck with the worst alien weapons again. They don’t do a lot of damage, you’re constantly looking for ammo…why can’t I have my BR like the good ole days? Seriously, don’t you think by now the unsc would deploy with lots of extra ammo so they can kill more than 10 enemies without having to use weapons off the ground?
I’ll be honest…I didn’t finish the campaign on 4 because I couldn’t take using the crappy weapons anymore, especially on legendary. You kill ONE enemy, and you need a new weapon. I feel that theme should be done and over by now. I don’t want spoilers, but is the whole campaign like this again? If that’s the case I’ll probably lose interest and not finish this one either…but THANK GOD for the return of balanced pvp! No more destiny!

Just to rub the lack of ammo in it lets you order your squad to pick up weapons, which they have unlimited ammo with. To be honest half the time I was just running around with a squad of Spartans with fuel rods, rockets and sniper rifles. Then I just designated targets and watched them explode.

If you let your squad die without reviving them they will respawn with default weapons at the next checkpoint and you can order them to pick up a weapon and then take their pistol ammo.

You think like I do. We have a massive war ship with an enormous amount of equipment and man power but only a small team with very limited resources is used. The UNSC seems to be a little stingy with their toys.

I have never run out of ammo in any other Halo game as much as I did in this one. There were so many times when all of my guns were empty, when in similar situations in the other Halo games, I might be low, or could readily find a good replacement.

I guess they’re trying to keep it mildly realistic; you can only carry so much ammo - this isn’t GTA V.

It kinda fits with the story too I suppose, why would there be any human ammo on Sanghelios or that new forerunner place?

Never played GTA V, but I guess you are right in that 2 fireteams, one that is AWOL and the second dispatched to an area way outside UNSC territory would have limited supplies.

The lack of a Bandanna skull is equally irritating to me.

Halo 5 ‘Hunt The Ammo’.

I was kind of hoping that once we started to run low on human weapon ammo, Palmer would chime in sending us a drop of ordinance to help us get through the mission.

The suppressor wrecks.

  1. Never even thought about it, but cool idea!
  2. True dat!

This was a problem in Halo 4 as well. I mean, I could understand it if you were, say, going through Requiem BEFORE the UNSC showed up, but during most of Halo 5 you’re at least running into UNSC debris…its annoying.

Probably not, but you’re a SPARTAN…surely you can carry more than four magazines for a Battle Rifle and WAY more than four for a magnum, even if the ammunition is .50 cal.

Usually you find a stash of weapons around. Sometimes UNSC and sometimes enemy weapon stashes

Well, you used to be able to order ordanance drops, why not a couple magazines sheesh. Spartans are like 7 foot tall walking tanks, I’m sure they can carry more ammo. Hell, I’d be willing to pull a little red wagon behind me filled with magazines if I had to, I’d never go Into battle with such little ammo. It’s just annoying because the alien weapons suck against the aliens.

I call bull crap on anyone saying they ran out of ammo. The only way thats possible is by running straight forward through the mission while holding the trigger down. 343 put so many ammo dumps in this game that must be the only way it can happen. Theres ALWAYS ammo around. Usually heavy weapon ammo as well.
