Stuck on Contacting Server (Reach PC Steam)

I can connect to xbox live, I tried reconnecting, restarting my pc, reinstalling the game, restarting my wireless connection, however every time I click on a multiplayer gamemode it says “Contacting server, connecting to transport service. Please wait.” And it just won’t do anything after that.

Getting the same issue. Was working earlier but all of the sudden I disconnected from xbox live and now it won’t reconnect.

Any news for a solution to this?

Also getting the same issue, can load up campaign just fine when I load multiplayer it just says Contacting Server connecting to transport service, its been doing this for 4 hours rlly need help I just wanna play the game

Are you using a public network firewall? I think this may be what is causing it. Im just guessing though. Mine wont work and im using a computer on my university network.

I find this hard to believe that this is the problem as i was on my college’s network earlier today

I have had this issue the last 8 hours. It was working just fine before that. I also am on a collage network. I really just wanna play the game yo, anyway ill see when this is resolved

Same issue, was working early today, and now stuck. But what did I really expect? A functional game?

I had this issue as well after it was working fine earlier today, I am also on a college network as well, I dont know if like colleges networks are suddenly doing something to cause this as that would be weird, but at this point I’m out of options to try and fix it.

My guess is that when they fixed the other server bug earlier today they made it so the game cant run on public networks.

That could be it, I am wired in that goes through what they call the “private” network, but I could see that it would still be affected

Same issue. Was working yesterday for me when I was matchmaking, now it just sits there with that stupid message. I am also on my college’s internet.

I think it is. Alot of people in here are on college networks. I installed it on two different computers. Both didnt work. Only thing in common was accounts and network.

The issue does not seem to have any bearing with public or private networks. I’ve been troubleshooting it for the last hour with little to no success.

What I have so far:
Go to your windows 10 settings > Gaming > Xbox Networking. You should see under the Xbox Live multiplayer the “NAT Type” and the “Server connectivity”. If you are having the same issue as me, you will see some error about “Teredo is unable to qualify” or “Strict” next to NAT and again, something about Teredo or “Blocked” for Server connectivity.

I have attempted their “fix it” button, which seems to modify the IPsec Settings (found within Windows Firewall with Advanced Security), however I do not know what specifically it is doing. Additionally, I have gained temporary access to the online features by following these articles:
https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-on-windows/social/troubleshoot-party-chat
https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-on-windows/social/server-connectivity-xbox-app-displays-blocked

The issue is, once in game, it will eventually freak out and revert back to a strict or blocked status. I have been unable to establish a rhythm to getting it connecting thus far.

Please attempt the above steps and report what the settings are, as well as potentially following the steps in the linked article. Let me know if this fixes it for you guys or if y’all end up with the same issue.

Even with teredo working I still cant get in. NAT is set at moderate. I cant change it but it still shouldnt be blocking me since it worked yesterday.

My NAT type is listed as open and does not have anything related to the Teredo settings showing up for me to attempt that.
