Stuck in the title screen

When I launch the game, it asks for you to press any button to proceed. When I do press any button, the game doesn’t advance to the main menu, it remains stuck in the title screen, and I’m unsure of what to do.

I have the same identical problem. Running Surface Book i7 with 1Gb NVidia graphics.

Also worth noting that touch and controller inputs have no effect whatsoever, however the background animation will change as if you had pressed a button, just not the UI.

Having this issue as well. Re installed, rebooted and tried purging the game data via app management. Computer specs:
Amd a8 5600k
8GB RAM
XFX radeon R7 360
Windows 10 64 bit
If anyone finds a fix i’d be very grateful.

I think it doesn’t have anything to do with the save data. I ran the Xbox One version specifically so that a different save file would be roamed onto my PC, but it made no difference.

Just tried a different keyboard to see if that would work to no avail. Anyone got any ideas? At this point its almost certainly got to be something wrong with the trigger inside of the game not activating but the question is why and why does a re install not fix it.

Found the issue!
Its waiting for you to allow permission on accesses. Log out of xbox live and back in again.

This is correct but it wouldnt work when i would just sign out of the xbox app on windows. What my solution was is to go into your settings from the windows start menu and go to your accounts. remove your microsoft account that your using on the xbox app and then it should say you need to enter your email and password again when pulling up the xbox app. i booted up HW:DE and then it asked me to sign into my microsoft account. after signing from there, i started up the game and it asked me to give it permission on accesses. click yes and then let the game boot and it should let you pass the title screen.
