Stuck at 20 FPS on PC, help please

The moment I go past the start screen the game runs at 20-22fps. My computer specs are more than fine for this (2019 razer laptop) and it seems to be running at a really high fps on the start screen. No combination of video settings is solving this. I’ve also tried disabling all 3rd party apps that could be interfering, but that hasn’t worked either.

the game is basically unplayable in this state :frowning:

Same problem, I have been runing the game really well for the past week, now the game is all of a sudden running at 20 fps.
