While forging I noticed, you’re able to capture a Stronghold without being inside of it.
Say I have an enclosed space at a minimum height of 300. The top heigh of the Stronghold is 100 and right below it. If you are inside that enclosed space, you are still able to capture it somehow. Making the “top” option useless.

The section above is a place where one would spawn (gamemode specific) which needs to be partially above the Stronghold for the endgame. The only option I’m thinking of currently is adjusting it slightly so the parts the Stronghold affects cannot be reached.
But nontheless of my specific map, it is a glitch in the entire game. I’m not sure if it even can be encountered in multiplayer, but just in case. Beware.
