Honestly I like the strider helmet. Its like a more tasteful and less flashy variation of EVA.
I have been trying to pretty positive with the armor so far. But I can’t defend the Scanner helmet…Its just plain ugly.
I mean come on?
The Scanner makes me think of a VCR or this.

I actually like the scanner one, it’s looks cooler than the Scout helmet in Reach. I look forward to using it

The recruit armor looks like a mix between the NanoSuit and Sam Gideon’s Armor.

Have fun then. I can’t stand it. Thankfully there will be a large amount of armor to choose from.
I like scanner, it looks like a MotoX helmet. If customs allowed us to force certain helmets, you could make everyone wear that and ride Mongooses as ATVs.
Scanner is a bloody nintendo catridge insert area taped to a helmet. O.o

The Scanner helmet looks awful and i am usually one not to be extremely critical of things. It looks like concept art lol.
The Strider Helmet however, is not that ugly and in fact i like it. Someone at 343 likes the EVA helmet it seems as Orbital is also another helmet that is similar to the EVA.
Recruit armor was pretty cool i guess. It can’t compare to FOTUS or Prime but those are different stories. By itself, i could see myself using it (at the very least, the helmet).
AR Skin: Nice, not flashy but nice.

There hasn’t been any news (that I’ve heard of) about additional armors being unlocked by purchasing Halo 4 map packs.
However, there will be a season pass that comes with the LE (or you can buy it separately) that will allow you to get the maps without using MS points. This is optional and you do not have to buy it if you just want to use points instead.
Like i said before, the helmets will most likely be unlocked as you play through War Games (Halo 4’s competitive MP modes).
