Im curious as to why they have made swat so strict to rank up in. Not only did I win 100 percent of my games but it took 8 games of going 2.0 to even match diamonds. By game 8 I should have been matching onyxs, any other playlist even with a lower population onyx would have easily been obtained by then. See both Swat and slayer records. Frost Bite. Why is the system so lazy to match someone where they belong. Its not like it isnt realistic, more players play Swat and FFA hich opens up more placements in these playlists.

Pretty sure when they released the population numbers for Halo 5’s playlists after the holiday, they weren’t in the top 5.

In FFA can’t get games at all now.
So played two more games won both and beat champion 15 and two onyx and still only ranked up once. Woo.
they made is stricter because swat is an easy play list and a ridiculous amount of people were getting ranked onyx during their placement matches. You want that nice arch when it comes to who is in what rank. Less in bronze, slightly more in silver, most in gold/platinum, less in onyx and very little in champion.
What Im saying is sure it can be strict but if I win 12/12 and beat number 15 in the world. Diamond 5 isnt for me.

I can not give you a guaranteed answer but I can give you my most educated guess. With the re-work of the Swat ranking system they more than likely wiped everyone’s MMR clean. When you have no MMR, mimicking that of a fresh account, no matter how incredible you play it will be almost impossible to rank higher than Diamon 1, and in most cases Platinum 6. When you have no MMR no matter how good you do the first 4-5 games will match you against Bronzes, Silvers, and Golds to gauge your skill. If you manage to play incredible after that it will match you against Platinums, and in your final games Diamonds. Even if you win all 10 of those games your MMR is still no where near solidified and for your protection it will place you Plat 6 or, at best, Diamond.
It does seem a bit rubbish. And the ranks have been like that for 2 seasons now. Players who are onyx all day long struggling to get into diamond is a travesty. It was so bad that it barely looked likely there would be enough onyxes for champion, or at least it seemed like it!
