Streaming Halo Infinite on Twitch

Just wondering what everyone’s thoughts are about the initial impact of Infinite when it arrives. I wasn’t into Twitch or the streaming world when Halo 5 hit the shelves so I’ve never seen where the number of viewers was when the game was at its peak. The number of viewers on the Halo 5 Twitch channel are very weak in 2019 compared to games like F****ite. I’m just hoping we hit the ground running and blow that wack -Yoink- out of the water.

Using streamers to promote the game as opposed to conventional advertising has worked wonders for Apex Legends, so I’m very curious to see if 343 will use a similar approach when marketing Infinite.

It could be safe to say that halo infinite (and most new releases) will see high twitch numbers on their launch date. If halo infinite is good then those numbers will continue to be up there.

If the game isnt -Yoink- like halo reach, 4 or 5, people would have a good time playing but also watching during the downtime. So it all revolves around if 343 makes a real halo game or not.

Considering H6 will be on PC I think there’s a good chance it will have a healthy following on Twitch, if the game is good and stays good of course. I really doubt it will compete with games like Fortnite and Twitch as those are free and on every platform so don’t get your hope’s up. If the game were xbox only it’d be dead on arrival.

I also wonder if they will try to use Mixer to promote the game or just go where the majority of viewers are, which I assume would be Twitch.

They definitely would since Mixer is Microsoft’s platform. I wouldn’t be surprised if they gave away a cool Mixpot for watching an early stream by an official source like 343i or something like that.

That’s a good point. I would prefer to have it shown on Mixer if I can earn some goodies.

Plus, streams are a lot more entertaining than standard advertising.

Halos twitch numbers haven’t been great for a few games, launch is always it’d strongest period (and even then it just doesn’t compare to other ganesg it’s bottombif the barrelbfkf Halo). If your game isn’t interesting, then no one’s going to stick around when there’s more interesting stuff to watch.

Halo could actually do something new and different like fortnite and it’s viewership would go up👍 I don’t care if people dislike fortnite but it’s success can’t be denied.
