Can someone told me that the Strategies and tactics from Halo CE don’t work in Halo 5, because Halo 5 is to different from Halo CE to use any of them. I don’t think so but maybe someone can prove it?

Different meta in the game, maybe?
Although Halo (Apart from modernization of gameplay) hasn’t really changed one bit. It’s still the same old FPS we’ve all known and loved, it’s just changed overtime. (From what I’ve seen, anyways.) Unless you’re solely avoiding the use of all spartan abilities, I don’t see how Halo CE tactics wouldn’t work?
Really just comes down to your play-style and the pros/cons of it.

I could already think of a few examples.
-The spawn system is completely different, for better or worse. You have more limited control of friendly and enemy spawns.
-Powerups now have to be activated manually and suffer from an animation. There’s exploits to reduce the animation but that’s not the point. This not only limits how offensive you can be around them, but it also makes tricks like using an overshield to grenade jump without damage pretty much impossible.
-Guns are less powerful so you’re more reliant on your team to take down multiple enemies.
-Nading weapons to yourself requires you to obtain plasma grenades first. In Ce you could do it pretty much whenever.

No you still can you just need to time it right. i have clips of it.

Strafing was a bit more useful in CE.

You could 1v1 a ghost in CE , well ghosts didn’t have boost in ce but…
Now even if a ghost doesn’t boost it can still shoot you easily.

you can easily hijack a ghost by thrusting backwards if its trying to hit you. but if its shooting you its almost impossible to kill it 1v1 in both 5 and CE unless you have power weapons… or if the person using it is brain dead.
