I have a party of 2 friends who I would say is pretty decent but we don’t know callouts and all that but anways, is it good idea to stick together throughout the map? Like a buddy system?

yes, if you have 3 out of four players, you can either A, break off in groups of two, or B just wolf pack and always stick shoulder to shoulder.
groups of two covers more ground, but needs more concentration to make sure you don’t get flanked
and wolf packing, does offer more fire power, you are leaving huge spaces in the maps open so the other team could get all the power weapons,
the most important thing. is having fun playing with each other. your wins will come. you will find your grove together etc etc

I’m not very good at Halo 5, but most of the tip videos I’ve seen generally recommend going with a buddy system where you pair up and stay with a teammate. That way, you can cover each other and have twice as much firepower going into a fight.
