Does anybody really like to “try” to win in Halo 4 or do people really rather spray and prey their way to a victory? Idk, I like to play with mic’s in, heads down, with plans on paper. It’s more of a rush to me and brings more life to this game… if you feel the same way, check out my forum?
Otherwise, tell me why the space-cadet spray-and-prey playtime is better… because I just don’t get it. :b
I normally attempt to stick with other team mates, unless I’m flanking or something like that, I usually go my own way on SWAT though, my team mates tend to get in my way and I end up not being able to shoot the enemy, normally after they kill my team mate, I get shot and killed immediately afterwards.
Yeah, man, same here. But that’s usually how it goes when I’m the only dude with a mic in the lobby. I’ll base my strategy off the moves of others, but when I’ve got a lobby full of chatter boxes, we always dominate. Always!
Whenever I go into team-based playlists, I almost always try to bring friends with me. Sadly, it seems that my friends, and myself included, do not take Halo 4 as seriously as previous titles. In Halo 3, we were always about strategy and focusing on winning. Sure, it was nice to have a solid K/D, but it was more important to complete the objective.
I do if I know the people, or if they have mics. I destroyed in team doubles yesterday, cause I played with one of my friends, and we actually had a stratagy.
Well, considering that I go ham on every match I play and rage occasionally because of the ignorance and lack of planning of some teammates, I suppose you could call me a strategic player.
Unfortunately, I don’t have many friends that play during the same time as me so I have to fight solo sometimes to get the job done, which leads to me dying a lot. So in a way, I’m also a run-and-gun player.
Simply put, I’m a run-and-gun player that wants to play strategically. So, yeah.
Well, I think your problem is looking for in depth strategies in Halo. The game’s pretty simple in just about every primary respect and there aren’t THAT many situations where you’re required to think about something more than how to park your DMR/BR/Mantis best to camp Mt. Win. I try to flank, out maneuver, and out think people at just about every opportunity but compared to other games (ex. Rainbow Six, Section 8) the ceiling for such is pretty low and the population definitely responds to it.

Second problem you have, this. Irresponsible playtime is not only FUN but it’s WHAT (in the most basic sense) YOU ARE DOING WHEN YOU ARE PLAYING A VIDEO GAME. There are SO many other things you could be doing with your time and yet you’re blasting pixelated mannequins with overly-elaborate techno rifles. Spraying and praying is just the purest fulfillment of WHAT YOU ARE DOING and if you can’t see that then you should really look into the “else of what you could be doing” (work, serious reading, homework, ect.) rather than trying to get the same sense of fulfillment from video games because those parts of your life are far more apt to being taken seriously.
If you check my stats you’ll see that I like to win. Forget K/D, W/L is all that matters when you play. I play with my mic in, I also make frequent and vivid call outs. It really irks me when I see someone run straight at the opposition over and over, expecting different results or just not caring. Don’t get me wrong I don’t just go off and start yelling at team mates that annoy me, but I want to sometimes.

What the hell are you even talking about man? Are you a forum frequent or a wanna-be life coach. Either way, -Yoink- off mate. Over fifteen hundred forum posts and you’re telling ME to get a life? Isn’t sort of like the pot calling the kettle black?
