Hi, I want to know what strange medals some of you have gotten, I myself have gotten a fastball and I don’t even know how. anyway, I’d love to see people respond to this thread.

I don’t think there are any “strange” medals. Also, you can see every medal there is and how to get them in your Service Record. For instance, you get the Fastball medal by killing someone by hitting them with a grenade.

sorry, i’ll clarify. meddles that you wouldn’t really know existed or medals that you get from some VERY unconventional methods. like the fastball is one where you have to get a person to low enough health to kill them with the impact of the thrown grenade. that almost never happens because:
- you have to get them low enough for it to be possible in the first place
2.you have to get the hit (maybe just use plasma grenades) and not kill with the detonation

Fastballs are more common than you think. Most people that have logged significant time in H5 probably have at least a handful of them. I have 9 or 10. The only one that was particularly memorable for me was getting one with a sticky grenade in castle wars.
I got a Fastball medal once when I fired my grenade launcher at someone who died from the impact of the grenade (I had not let go of RT when I got the kill).

Would actually be a pretty slick double to get the fastball, then another kill with the explosion

Based on this picture which can be found in the Halo Waypoint page, there exist a lot of relatively strange medals in Halo 5 that hasn’t either been used or can only be obtained in certain gametypes like the Ballsassination medel (perform an assassination with a ball).

yeah, good luck doing that in actual grifball with a massive waypoint above your head. but dtill gotta get it some how.

I don’t remember when I got this medal but if my memories serves me correctly, it was from a game of Assault. The true question that remains, which of the medals shown in the picture can be obtained from Matchmaking. This do especially apply to the medals that are hidden from the Waypoint Service records but can still be obtained by performing a given action which is unknown at the time of writing this reply.
To me the sayonara medal is the most fickle to actually get.

it is very hard to get because you have to die in some pretty weird places. I swear, if you got it legit in an actual game, by yourself, you are a god.

also, a weird one for me was always pineapple express, super common, but always so strange of a concept for me, kinda encourages drive-byes in warzone. also weird lack of medal is: where is my assassination medal for the warden?
