Strange 3D audio

After playing the campaign and multiplayer of Halo Infinite, I have run into an issue, one which I don’t know if its just me or not. Its to do with the game’s sound system (or 3D audio, assuming its the latter) where upon looking away from a sound emitter, it becomes deafly silent.

For instance, on Deadlock. When a point is captured, the weapon fires, upon looking away from the cannon the firing sound ceases to be audible, but when looking back at it the sound comes back. I’ve experienced this strange issue on explosions, other environmental sounds and other map-specific audio triggered by capturing objectives. I don’t quite understand whats going on here, and I hope its not just me whos experiencing it
