It feels like sbmm is stronger than ever in s3. It is ruining the experience.
Yet I feel like SBMM has been weaker than ever and it’s ruining the experience.
My matches have been more lopsided than ever in season 3, though that may actually have to do more with SBMM being too weak than anything
Lolno
It could definitely take an extra rocket or two to kill a hog, yeah.
I’m rather fine with atleast a well placed sticky killing both
I don’t think the cindershot is particularly problematic against vehicles, typically find it a bit of a waste of ammo to destroy one VS just using it against people on foot.
I wouldn’t call either insanely OP but they do need to be tuned down a bit. I don’t think increasing the bloom on the sidekick is a good idea, the weapon should be more consistent but slower to kill. For the AR, I want to see it without headshot damage and maybe a bit more spread.
True. I guess Im not there yet. lol
I disagree mainly about CTF in BTB and the Cindershot. Cindershot is a power weapon, its on the same tier as the rocket, except it attracts way more attention and has less range. It SHOULD melt vehicles.
I also disagree with buffing the bandit, its fine as is… if they make it a starter weapon. Kinda thinking its not great as a pickup because the pistol/commando are better close range and the BR beats it at range.
Im mostly mad about the missing maps in playlists. Why are Catalyst, Behemoth and Bazaar missing from quickplay? and why does ranked only have 4 maps?
Social based matchmaking is necessary to ensure that the game is somewhat balanced and enjoyable for everyone so that way it’s not just a complete and total stomp fest on either side. I will say that Infinite however needs to loosen up the tie before it becomes a noose.
CTF is one of the better game modes for Big Team Battle and has been a staple since Halo Combat Evolved. You’re asking for them to remove some of the oldest legacy content in the game. A game with minimum content and minimum legacy content at that. So no CTF is just fine and it needs to stay where it’s at.
King of the Hill sucks for Big Team Battle. It just turns into a massive kill pit and it’s not fun. Some people might find it fun to just sit back and constantly pick people off who are actually trying to score the objective and win the game, but I don’t and never will.
Hydra is meant to be an anti-vehicle weapon and kills basically all of them fairly quickly. It’s supposed to do that.
Once again sticky grenades have always been able to pop both the driver and the gunner in a warthog since the very beginning. It doesn’t always do this, but it can happen and should. It’s an anti-personnel grenade being thrown onto a vehicle to get rid of the personnel.
Cindershot is also an anti-vehicle weapon on top of being a hard light weapon which is even more anti-vehicle. It is fine and is working as intended. It’s a power weapon. Power weapons are supposed to be powerful.
Bandit rifle could use some work. It’s not terrible but it typically loses most fights. So yeah reducing its recoil or doing something else to try to buff it would probably work to make it a better gun.
I agree that the Sidekick seems a little too accurate at close range, but it’s also intended to be used at close-medium range and if you increase the bloom too much then it becomes worthless at anything other than close range so trying to find that happy medium is hard. The AR is fine.
Yes group players should always stay grouped.
I do find the current challenges for the event to be a little too specific and requiring you play event playlists is bad. Allow me to clarify. I’m fine with event specific playlists however I’m not fine with event playlist specific challenges. We should be able to play the game however we want whenever we want and not be funneled into a specific place to play a specific way that may or may not be fun or helpful to the team/game. I really didn’t enjoy the Tac Ops event. I didn’t really find the game type that fun and having overly specific challenges in a playlist that I didn’t enjoy just meant that I was never going to actually finish the event. So I didn’t and I really wanted to get the JFO helmet and the other items in that event, but alas 343i did not allow it to be so.
I don’t really care about KOTH so I have no comment on the matter. This guy wants to increase it, but said weighting instead of waiting.
Yes but weighting was correct for what he wanted. That’s why your comment was confusing.
Really? He wants to add more weight? I don’t even know what that means. Could you enlighten me?
https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/weighting
i.e. Giving it more importance compared to other game types or at least increasing its importance from what it is now. Implying that more important game types will be selected more often.
More weight means it shows up more often. Think of it like your rolling dice. It’s a 6 sided die
with 1-6. Each number is just as likely to roll as the rest. Buuut… if you roll weighted dice it’s more likely to roll the number you’ve weighted the dice to roll on.
That’s make perfect sense as the possible origin of this usage of the word weight.
Hm, learn something new every day.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone use the term like that before. I’d still say it’d make far more sense to say “KOTH should have a higher priority” or “KOTH should appear more frequently”.
Why? Sometimes it’s the only way to snatch a flag when 5 dudes are defending a flag and keeps the game moving.
It’s an old term that has been in the business since the beginning of RNG/random number generation to decide how things go. Usually developers will also add in how that affects the system. Like saying “We’re increasing weight on King of the Hill which will result in it appearing more frequently in the playlist.” so that people would understand how it works.
They just assign a number value to the option and the minimum value being 1. To increase weighting they simply increase it between 1 and however far up their scale goes. If it’s a 1 through 9 then minimum weight is 1 for it to appear and the 9 means that it’s 9 times more likely to appear.
“It’s an old code Sir, but it still checks out.”
