What are everyone’s tactics on strafing? I am asking this so people get help from me, and so I can get help from all of you! Here is my strafe tactic: Whilst firing at the head, I strafe: right, right, left, right, left, left. Whilst ducking inbetween each strafe. At the end when their shield is almost down, I thruster last minute to throw them off, and head shot them. What are your strafe tactics?
The biggest thing that I find is switch it up mid Match. After a while people will tend to predict your movements since they become static (unless you play on 10 sense and do the whole “Crouch mid air spin 400 times yy reload strafe I see champs use in TA). If you switch up to a new strafe routine mid Match it will throw off your enemy.
Sometimes, you’ll find that almost no strafe is better, especially against a player who strafes heavily. I kind of do a lot of really basic stuff in my strafe, though I definitely spam crouch too much.
Towards the end of a gunfight I might start glitch someone cuz I’m toxic like that.

Thanks for this information, I’ll keep it in mind!
I laugh when someone abusing the crouch button loses a one on one. I know theyre better than me but it looks absolutely ridiculous.
I like to incorporate a little bit of everything in my 1v1 strafe.
Crouch is very useful in short to medium range, if you can maintain your tracking on your opponent you can do very well.
Another tactic is to save your thrust until mid to the end of the fight, this will enable you to change the angle of the fight and hopefully dodge that last magnum shot.
Another tactic is to go from a crouch in one direction to a jump in the other and then thrust in the opposite direction, potentially making you harder to track in a 1v1.
Think of it like one-on-one basketball. The same crossover (strafe) is generally not going to work every time. Adapt to your opponents, because some will definitely over-strafe and some won’t whatsoever. Never share the same momentum in the same direction, and be weary of jumping too much. The biggest improvement I’ve made in the past year has not been jumping as much.
Good luck, buck.

Thanks Conor! This helps a lot mate!
I kind of follow the same strafing pattern, I typically go to the right, and just dump my magazine into whatever’s shooting back. If my four braincells are working properly I’ll thrust in the opposite direction, and duck behind cover if it’s available just to throw them off a little. Changing elevation can help too sometimes, as well as tossing a few grenades to get them to stop shooting for a second.
