Seriously once the shipmasters ship is grounded the spirit of fire can easily easily move in and salvage the covenant drive to escape.
They could’ve, but they realized what was at stake. The Banished are on the Ark, and they can activate the present Halo, which is exactly what they drove to do after their ship was grounded.
If the Spirit of Fire were to run, they leave the rest of the galaxy at the mercy of the Banished.
So the banished have a gun to the head of the universe I wonder what they want.
Yeah. Huh. That was never really explained well in the game.
And apparently it is to be explained in halo infinite but still.
It’s an intriguing idea, but would a Covenant drive even be compatible with a UNSC ship? I’m sure it’s not “plug and play”.
And that’s assuming the drive wasn’t cut up by the Sentinels or totaled by the crash.
