Story mode for halo 4

I mean as we all know its most likely going to take place on the old Forerunner planet. But thats just it, theres no more forerunners, or covenant, just… flood (cringes).

I hated all of the flood levels. Despised them. Not because i was ‘afraid’ of the flood or whatever you would like to think. but, because of the feel of the levels. Its hard to explain. The best part about the flood levels was finishing them.

but other than that i feel that halo 4 is going to explain alot about the forerunners and their history and how they contributed to the halo trilogy. its going to be an informational game moreso than action.

i believe that theyre going to make master chief and cortana run around the planet peicing together the clues of the long dead forerunners with a few flood here and there.

honestly, thinking about it just makes me wonder and more excited to just play the story mode. thats all i really care about. well, the multiplayer too of course but i just want to see what happens to the chief. i cant wait for his return. as cliche as that sounds.

Expect the Flood levels to return.
But, take in mind, there’s GOTTA be some “Evil Forerunners”. C’mon, an entire race of peace-loving super smart humans, who just happen to know how to build WMDs?
“Evil Forerunners”, the FIRST enemy of the Known Forerunners. Heck, lets go ahead and say the “Evil Forerunners” MADE the Flood parasite to beat the “Good Forerunners”! Biochemical Warfare; Combat EVOLVED! Eh?

  1. The Forerunners could very well be alive. At least one had to be on the Ark to activate the Array. Then the few that made it to the sheild worlds. Most survivors presumably left the galaxy due to shame, but some may have returned.
  2. The Covenant is very well alive. But not as the Covenant we knew of. The Prophets fled, the Engineers fled, the Elites retreated back to their homeworld and are slowly learning the old ways, the Brutes mainly went back to their homeworld and are either fighting Elites or fighting themselves. The Jackals are back to their pirate ways.
  3. Of course the Flood will be there in some way.
  4. Theres Sentinels…
  5. And we still have the Ancient Evil. We don’t know exactly what the Ancient Evil is yet.

Read every Halo book.
Precursors made the flood not the Forerunners.
Forerunners fought the Precursors.

Sooo…I’m right?! I mean, I never heard of Precursors.
Aw…aw man, I’m awesome!!!
Yeah, I only read “First Strike”, “Fall of Reach”, “The Flood”, and “Contact Harvest”.
Sorry.

Flood is easily the funnest part of any halo campaign for me.

I dont understand how you could HATE the flood missions unless you played them a hundred times, and the Forerunners arent all dead. How do you know there is no more covenant? It only seems right to have them play a part in Halo4. (Im talking about the covenants species, not the covenant as a whole)

Precursors are said to have made all life in the galaxy.
The Precursors had the Mantle a belief the Forerunners took from them.
The Precursors decided the Forerunner would be too much of a danger and decided to exterminate them, the Forerunner (who apparently have a subscription on the Precursor news paper)learned of this and started to exterminate them by attacking first.
The war was never mentioned to the later generations unless they have a High and important rank in the Forerunner society.
