I would love to have more efficient fireteams. I loved it in Reach, and loved the multiplayer Spartan Ops fireteams. Halo 5 was sucky, but i see a future with it.
So here’s my suggestion!
What if you could customize what characters from blue team and Osiris came along on your missions? That would be amazing!
This would help keep the story on Chief, but not just drop Osiris off a cliff for the storyline. The story would be odd if you had certain characters on certain missions, but I have a solution for that. The gameplay could include whatever characters you like, but then the story could feature ways to have certain characters in the most influential storytelling parts. IE: any character comes on the mission, but then in cutscenes they have ways to tie in the other fireteams for the story.
I know it sounds kinda clunky, but it would be cool to customize this feature. You could design maybe a 2-player fireteam to have a sniper or close ranged weapons specialist.
Idk, what do you all think about this?
I’ve seen a similar idea to this on the forums before and I like the idea. I think the only things I would add is to have this be a feature after you beat the campaign since I feel blue team should stay as your squad during the first playthrough, then expand it to the character you play also, and why stop at just the characters in blue team and osiris? There are alot of big name characters people want to play as and this non-canon version of the campaign could be perfect for it.
That could be a neat multiplayer thing where you can have like a customization uniform for your clan.

I think this would be good. They could also keep the cannon kinda loose on it. I mean, you could have Noble 6’s armor anything you like and it obviously doesn’t effect the lore. This could be more of an appearance alteration perhaps?
