Story line in Halo 4 happened to fast?

[Spoilers]

Alright, we’re drifting through space, get attacked and crash land on Requiem. We later find UNSC troops in different armor (evolved) and later on, we learn that humankind is the most powerful species in the Halo universe with bases and explorations on the other Halos.

Yada Yada Yada

We finally get to the end of the game, Master Chief gets to Earth really fast (with the Didact) and stops the Didact from destroying earth.

Now for the real ending, Master chief is on the ship above earth looking down and he goes down there afterwards.

Where’s his big greetings? his welcome back party? Where’s Stacker? chip dubbo? or even Lord Hood? they’re no where to be seen. The marines on earth act like nothing happened to Chief.

PS: I know Stacker and Dubbo are non-canon characters.

and No, i do not hate Halo 4, i actually like Halo 4 and thought the story line was great, i just thought the Story line happened too fast and that they left out lots of continuity.

It would have been better if the Chief was still far away from home.

Ending of Halo 3 made me think that Chief was stranded in space, and was not going to return in a long time. Even thought his adventures would be over and that there wouldn’t be a Halo 4.

Before, i thought that Halo 3 was going to be the last game about Master Chief and that ‘Marathon’ would be telling us what happened to chief, frozen out in space for so long, his ‘Re-carnation’ wakes up from Sleep and thus begins the events of ‘Marathon’

Basically, i thought that the Chief was the main character in Marathon.

Chief’s big return will most likely be covered in the next game.

Or I should say, it better be covered! I mean, this is a pretty big deal! We’re talking about humanity’s greatest Hero returning from the grave, I’m sure as hell that deserves more celebration than “I thought he’d be taller.”

She was the only one that paid him respect for his return and a lot of people dislike her… Oh Sarah Palmer! No but seriously, I agree with what you said. They better cover it more deeply in the next game!

I feel like Halo 5 is gonna turn out like Halo 2. Story wise. Ya know. Back to Earth as Master Chief. Be a celebrated hero then something unexpectedly evil happens.

Yeah but what would this evil be? The convenant are a bunch of jagoffs compared to the humans now and who would be the next antagonist? The prometheans obviously since you can’t just take out all their new weapons in one transition but to shake things up a bit you’d need to introduce a new enemy, something like the flood.

Yes, definitely.

The team-up between Prometheans and Covies was too early, so we didn’t get to see Hunters or high ranking Elites getting involved. Yesterday, I was playing Spartan Ops E5C4. I intentionally left a Zealot alive and I had to deal with him while facing a bunch of Knights. Much more interesting.

Also, if there’s going to be a team-up this early, then we should see more of it.

This is all we see in the Campaign: Knights leading Grunts instead of Elites

Any time we see Knights working with Elites, it’s merely coincidental (if you leave some enemies alive) and there’s no coordination between them.

And why relegate Knights using different guns (i.e. Battlewagon with Incineration Cannon) to Spartan Ops? This should have been used in the Campaign. Forerunner reveals 90% of Promethean behavior (Infinity has increased teleporting frequency, zig zag rushing, and snipers using Promethean Vision, Shutdown introduces Commanders), so by the time you’ve gotten to Midnight, even the mightiest are easy to put down. There was nothing new up their sleeves.

Last but not least, wouldn’t it have been nice to see Covies being more coordinated when directed by Prometheans?

Finally, I’d have liked to have worked alongside Knights, and seen them fighting Knights. I found it underwhelming how the Didact could take control of every Knight in an instant. I’d have liked to seen him pry control of the Librarian’s faction at a later point (i.e. when Chief is discussing with the Librarian and is found by Didact). By that point, it’d have been emotional because you would have realized they were composed humans not to mention you would have seen them much differently (when you’re killing them, all you may see them as is a bunch of mooks).

Yeah, i hope they have something like a Welcome Back for the Chief and it gets interrupted.

its too.

and campaign blew chunks in my opinion.

^ You had a problem with the campaign?
