Here is my idea for some great single player DLC that could be launched for Halo 5 that I think could mend a lot of the complaints about the current campaign (mostly that it is almost completely Locke’s story and not MC)
They should release Story DLC of the missions that Blue Team were running leading up to Halo 5. I think that would be an absolute blast! We could see the lead up that we heard about in the Hunt The Truth campaign and get to have 10 missions or so with solely Master Chief and Blue Team.
What are some of your ideas for DLC Story content that could be added post release to Halo 5? Would you be excited if this sort of idea would be announced?

No. More Locke and Osiris. They were extremely cool and it’s great to see the universe through the eyes of regular soldiers and not Indoctrinated child soldiers

You just end up running into Chief… they totally should have added the level where you are Chief going through landing the Prowler until finding the Guardian!

I am not looking for them to redo anything at all. I really enjoyed the campaign! I’m actually just looking for more of it. I think seeing the sort of “Prologue” to Halo 5 would be awesome. Blue Team mentions how many back to back missions Chief has been taking in the game… why not give us some of these missions to play!? I just feel like it’s a great idea that 343 should look into.

Hey whatever to the Covenant, you know those aliens what we’ve been fighting for every game up to here. Maybe they wanted the Guardians as well.

It could have been a “Walk around” mission like the ones Osiris has… to get to know Blue Team better or just to flesh out that side of the story more.
It’s been confirmed that there will most definitely certainly will not be a story DLC unless you bribe Microsoft with money and time to make it, which I don’t think they currently have.

I don’t think a walk around mission is what most of the players want in priority. But I agree that a filler mission to get to know Blue Team better would have been good, especially since its the first time we see a Spartan II squad in action in a game.
However, if you think about what Blue Team actually do in Halo 5, you can’t make more missions out of it. They just go from point A to point B, the whole Blue Team campaign would fit in Halo CE’s Assault on the Control Room.

Given Halo game, The Covenants are not on Meridian… or at least it is really unlikely.
OP doesn’t have a terrible idea, a series of missions with Blue Team prior to the actual events of 5 could be fun. but if we’re tossing out ideas for story DLC an Arbiter story will always get my vote.
Halo has never had story dlc before, why start now? And I’d rather have a spin-off game called ‘The Arbiter’… I’m sure you can guess what that would be about.

I’ve always wanted this. package it up like ODST (which was originally going to be Halo 3 DLC so story stuff isn’t totally out)

Right? Why not do story DLC missions with different characters, either before or after Halo 5. Playing as Blue Team, the Arbiter, Crimson or Majestic, just for some more story content, that helps fill in some wholes, or rather give us some new fun campaign content.

Ya, even adding things like some of the Arbiter back story of getting the Swords of Sanghillios where they are and so Osiris missions of how they met and some of there first missions… and some more background missions with Blue Team. It could even be delivered like Spartan Ops was… just some more Story goodness 343!
