I was just wondering is the Storm rifle a loadout weapon or a pickup weapon. It would be awesome as a loadout because it would be the ARs rival.
So does anyone know?

Being the Ar’s counterpart, I believe it would be a primary.
Thanks. I thought it would be but lots of people are only listing AR, BR, DMR, Carbine and possible (I think it will be) Light rifle as the primary loadout’s.
Yea i also noticed people doing that. I guess its just not a real popular gun of disscusion yet. I’m just hoping to god its better than the plasma repeater from reach
From the look of it, the storm rifle is better than the plasma repeater.
Yes, as is the Forerunner Light Rifle and Suppressor (which may or may not be the new name for the Repeater).
Yeah the Storm Rifle is a bit more powerful and shreds shields pretty quickly, the Plasma Repeater wasnt the best at its job though. The Promethean Suppressor also looks pretty boss and is likely also a Primary Loadout Weapon :), last weeks bulletin shows a weapon skin for it.
Balance seems to be a big concern of 343’s.
I’m sure the Storm Rifle will be even, or atleast somewhat even, with the AR.
I’m glad its a solid looking covenant ar, the plasma repeater was difficult to get kills with except in elite slayer.
It seems faster killing than the AR but harder to use with more bloom(?), quick overheat and less accurate like all plasma based weapons.

From what I’ve seen in gameplay videos, and from what people have been saying, both weapons are pretty darn even, meaning that they’re both powerful.
I’m glad to hear this, since the AR and other automatic weapons really needed a good buff to return to Halo 1-esque usefulness. 
Yeah I’ve also noticed a lot of people not including it in lists of Primary weapons. It seems to be a decent weapon (Despite its extremely fast overheat).
