I thought that too but it’s range pales in comparison to the AR. So a little further from close to your enemy and I find the SR spread to be too much.
actually i think the suppressor is equal to it since it has a faster rate of fire but the bullets travel slower. But people probably use the storm rifle because compared to the suppressor, the bullet spray less

Suppresor is useless, IMO. Only good at close range, like real close, like, SHOTGUN close.
Anyway, if your within I’d say 5 yards or less, the Storm Rifle is more powerful than AR, slightly, however the AR is more versatile in general, therefore more deadly.

Agreed. The only good thing about the suppressor is its rate of fire. It’s accuracy is nothing to the storm rifle and assault rifle
Every automatic got a 3 bullet damage increase 50% cut down on accuracy making the guns more accurate but also a 50% reduction to bullet magnetism meaning medium range fights require much better aim whilst close range fights are one much faster.
The storm rifle currently does the most damage per bullet. It also has a higher ROF then the AR and less spread then the suppressor.
The AR still is the most accurate of the 3 but dealing the second lowest damage and the slowest ROF.
The suppressor has the highest ROF but the least amount of damage. Though due to the recent TU you can start to fire a bit sooner and your fights can range to be abit longer.
So to answer your question yest the storm rifle is the best in terms of damage. But really all 3 weapons are completely situational and are up to how you play.
Technically the strongest I believe, but it still is usually outshone by the AR which is still easier to use thanks to the travel time on storm rifle and AR’s larger effective range
The AR is closer to a AR kill time of the Halo 3 days actually. Matter of fact, most weapons are now.
The AR definitely has an edge at medium range. The Storm Rifle’s plasma bolts are just too slow. One of the tricks of Halo: CE is the slower travel speed of plasma versus bullets, allowing Master Chief the limited ability to dodge fire while taking out scores of Covenant. That’s also why Covenant snipers and Promethean weapons are so annoying in the campaign. But I digress. The real power of the Storm Rifle is its battery. You never need to waste time reloading, making double kills easier with the Storm Rifle than the AR.
The AR is better overall still because ammo > charge. Kill times are mostly the same, but an AR can benefit from dexterity while the storm rifle is still stuck being on the verge of or already overheating after every kill. Plus the predator skin is really cool.
It’s the DMR of automatic weapons post update. It beats the other automatics at their weak points. For example, the suppressor gets destroyed at mid range but the suppressor tops it at close range.

The assault rifle just owns now at range, burst and even single fire can be good until you get to automatic range.
At close range I noticed that the storm rifle and AR seem to have similar kill times.
At very close range the SR is a slight bit superior to the AR, however the AR is more versatile.

Technically the Suppressor is the stongest automatic weapon but it’s range is just so crippling. I’ve only seen it used effectively at very low levels (death charge). At anything above an individual CSR 5 players seem to know to keep their distance and to strafe. I think I’ve only gotton 1 or 2 kills with the Suppressor since the update.
The suppressor is the most inaccurate weapon in Halo history. Completely worthless for anyone who wants to kill anything. It’s basically an automatic that is only good at shotgun range and burst firing is pointless because the bloom expands so insanely fast there’s no point in bothering.
The suppressor might as well not exist IMO. Shotgun and Scattershot do it’s job perfectly.
It’s all trade offs, one is only better than the other in certain applications. Assault Rifle is technically the weakest in sheer damage per second, but it has the best range. The Suppressor is the strongest in sheer damage per second but has the worst range. The Storm Rifle is the middle man.
