My only problem with the Storm Rifle is how it looks too much like a Carbine. I cannot tell you how many times I have run over to a Covenant ammo cache hoping to stock up on Carbine ammo, and realize that they were Storm Rifles.
If they just took the Storm Rifle and reskinned it to make it appear more like the Plasma Repeater, I’d probably prefer that.
They should bring back the SMG and Plasma Rifles as dual wieldable automatic sidearms. If they wanted to a Forerunner automatic sidearm variant could be made if the Brute Spiker doesn’t return.
The Plasma Rifle looks more iconic, but I find the Storm Rifle is more effective, it works like the Plasma Repeater should have.

Plasma rifle is the weapon i would use when taking an enemy base in CE. That and the mortar pistol made me unstoppable.
Nobody is a fan of the H2 plasma rifle/SMG combo?

I actually like the Storm Rifle more, just wish the Plasma Rifle was in the game.
I like the Storm Rifle better just because it’s actually useful. The only reason I would use the Plasma Rifle was when I felt like using something useless.
Also, I loved the Needle Rifle! That was probably my favorite weapon in Reach!
EDIT: After reading what Rojas said, I think we need a red Storm Rifle skin! That would be awesome!

A shame that it was utterly useless in the hands of the player in both single and multiplayer.
Only the AI Elites and Brutes could use it effectively, and that was because it increased its rate of fire when they used it, not decreased like it was supposed to.
Plasma rifle. You could duel wield it and it was amazing against Flood. I have to see the storm rifle in action against Flood but I know we can’t duel wield it.
Storm rifle really is a bit boring weapon. It is strong weapon but sounds and looks boring. I would rather see Plasma rifle replaced its role.

Fun fact: The Brute Plasma Rifle was never supposed to exist. It was thrown in because Bungie didn’t have enough time to create the Spiker in Halo 2.
It was always quite fun duel wielding the Brute variant with the regular one, and watching enemies fall under a hail of multicoloured plasma.

You can’t dual wield at all.
I’m pretty much fine with the storm rifle’s stats, but its appearance and sound is lame. Change those two things to be like the plasma rifle, and then everything will be perfect.
