As i said on another topic the Storm faction is under supplied while the Swords have access to the old covenant’s gear shown in the pic. So we finally know why H4 elites are under-armored.

To me the new design looks better they look more like aliens, they looked to lizard-like in the other games minus reach and wars. And them being hulking and brutish makes them more intimidating to me seriously H4 and Reaches designs were the only elites I would take seriously.
did you guys notice the markings on arbiter? his arm and helmet. But i thought the storm uses the same armor as SOS. Ill let Halsey answer this tho.

I really like the swords of S.O.S armour especially Arbys, the gold and chunky look of it is awesome.

Halo CE-Reach they look like aliens and look more badass. Although in Halo 4 they don’t look intimidating they just look barbaric like they are primitives.

It’s a sleve that has a twisting pattern to it that gives the arm a breaking look, I had to look at it closely… also after reading the Canon blog I noticed it said that some storm forces defected and joined the arbiter and they make up the majority of his army and that could explain the similar armor. Imo the swords would look way better if they had different helmets

Agreed better helmets and maybe even gauntlets.

While I agree that Reach’s design of Elites was badass, Halo CE through Halo 3 were nothing special and not intimidating at all. They looked more and more like dinosaurs than aliens. I don’t really see what’s “barbaric” or “primitive” about their new design. I like it.

What is it that you like exactly?
I miss the original trilogy Elites. Although the gold armor is cool I can hardly tell its Arby anymore. I hope he removes his helmet at some point in the game.

I do too, but there’s no reason for it to show up again. I was disappointed there was no Brute Honor Guard in Halo 3.
I wish the Swords were wearing the H2A armor like they were in the H2A Bookend cutscenes. Would make the civil war seem a lot more interesting with different armors facing off. (i.e. honorable, organized Arbiter troops vs. Savage rebel elites)
I never even thought about Arby being playable. Now I want it.
I still dont like the helmet of the storm covenant type armour but I LOVE Arbiters armour!
