Stories you want told!

Hello? Hello.
The part you clicked on the post for:

What stories in the world of Halo would you want told? From any media, doesn’t matter just stories you would be very interested in. Give as many ideas as you can think of, bomb us. Big or small.

The rant nobody really cares about but some might read anyway just to prove me wrong, I wouldn’t read it:
Just me, or do we really need some fresh topics right now? dang…
Luckily for me, I am getting my healthy amount of daily Halo as I’m doing an audiobook marathon while I’m working. Most of which I hadn’t read before, and even the ones I had, needed refreshing.
While listening I notice so many things I want to know more about and as there have been plenty of “what games would you want” post I though it might be interesting what people want from books. But then I decided not to restrict it to a specific media, and have it focused on general story exploration instead.
Could be stories as old as the precursors themselves from earlier than we have even heard of before, or way in the future of the games, something you want the series to eventually get to. Or just something we have heard of but want more information about or another perspective, like the grunt rebellion and such. Just anything you are curious about, am I over-clarifying my point? Yeah I think I am.

Own ideas, I’ll ad more if the post happens to stick for a while:
Note: I’ve only read/listened up until the middle of “The Cole Protocol” in the order of release + the Forerunner Saga + Shadows of Reach, so I don’t know for sure if these have already been done to an extent.

  • Thel Vadam’s perspective on the Fall of Reach and Halo: CE up until he becomes the Arbiter. - Forerunner betrayal against the Precursors from Forerunner’s and Precursors perspectives, and how Forerunners went on after that point, and how some of them stayed behind on that planet in Path Kathona. - Maybe Jorges perspective of the S-II training, his relationship with the other Spartans and Halsey, and how he ended up with Noble Team.
The II’s didn’t really know of the III’s existence back then, what made Jorge different? - The San Shyum - Sangheili war, Covenant origin, and how the species lived before it.

Just more Fred-104 and Blue Team. Less Chief please.

Can I say how the story would go after the bungie games if we only kept H4 and stuck to that direction…? Can’t think of anything else.

I want more Spartan III lore and games. Of course, that won’t happen.

Always wanted to wear a SPI

Yeah, it’d be cool to be on a headhunter mission.

The Taming of the Lekgolo is a story that has never been fully explored, as far as I know. We have only pieced what we know together from it mentioned in various books and games. Reading about the events in detail would be an amazing addition.

This would make an awesome book, but I think it would be a pretty boring game.

Heck yeah, more about headhunters, it was nice to get a better understanding of the IIIs in GoO but it left me craving for more too.

All I can think of now is a Lekgolo taming/Hunter colony breeding simulator game.
Yeah I agree there is a lot of interesting info to explore deeper there. Plus it’s always enjoyable with Arbiter history, and it would also give new perspective on a very early generation of Covenant. Good suggestion.

I want there to be like a game where you play as the past arbiters doing the “suicidal” tasks, like the taming of the hunters

Your Mission: tame a bunch of worms.

Rapidly hit X to tame a colony. No, but seriously, it would make a cool book.

More from A.Is. Human, Covenant, Precursors, smart, dumb, and the Assembly. An author knowledgeable in hard sci-fi so we get some in-depth explanation for A.Is management of systems, processing power, and hacking besides: “x hacked this, y did that”. A short story of a faction in the covenant who did create a self-aware A.I and the consequences of it.

The taming of the drones, what have they done before the Covenant, and after the war. A brute nuclear war that bombed them to the stone age.
Short stories on the Fringe.

Trilogy novel dedicated to Cortana. Her birth, the end of the war, H4, and what she did in those 2 years before Infinite. We did one for Chief, only fair for his Blue partner in Crime.

Stand Alone books dedicated to Linda, Kelly, and Fred. They deserve it. Black ops morally grey missions for the sniper, VIP escort missions for the rabbit, and Piracy and drug interdiction for our man Fred.

Osiris, and Palmer short stories.

Tbh I’d like more lore on the Arbiter’s, because the Arbiter lore is really cool, and I’d love to see more. I’d also say the flood, but I can’t think of many other ways the Flood can be expanded on.

Daaang this would be insane, seeing one die after the other on their last missions, maybe some of the missions they survived too. We would also get a glimps on the evolution of the Covenant that way too.

They should have Jen Taylor narrate the audiobook for the Cortana book, I liked her narrating contact Harvest.
