how do you wane make a diffrend then between the people that have buy the full game with the campaign.
and for the people that only play for free the multiplayer.
to get some armor piece’s?
do you wane see that some armor piece’s you can earn become only for the players that unlock some type off achievements in the halo serie’s like there have done in halo 3 and halo reach?
Umm no. I don’t care for the F2P. I supported them by paying full price for the campaign just to have the multiplayer stripped to it’s bare minimum so others could get it for ‘free’. There’s a big difference between supporting someone and being taken advantage of. 343i’s store is predatory and it needs to be stopped or the very least made so players can earn them.
I have supported Bungie/343i with every game and bought every dlc/expansion and even I have to say enough is enough. If there desperate for money maybe they should do less lazy MT skins like colors and actually put effort into a decent expansion.
I’m sick of people defending this type of behaviour and just because there working on Halo does not mean these should be ignored due to ‘favouritism’.
There has to be a point where I have to say no more the line must be drawn here no further!
that’s pretty reasonable IMO when you consider COD was selling less than that for 30 dollars
I do also count them as different items because currently they are separate items that apply to different things in game.
You cant expect things to be dirt cheap on a free game. I paid 13 dollars for mine (Australian dollars) and thats literally like 30 mins work of my wage.
Thats pretty reasonable dude c’mon…
coatings should be universal, i dont count them as different items
same goes with all of these
i can when what im gettin aint worth it. not makin coatings universal is just a cheap trick to make people think theyre gettin more than they really are
You may have a point that its perceived like there is more than it is.
But even still you can still use it more than any other bundle out there previously
If you think you can expect dirt cheap items on a free game which is a measly 9 dollars (30 mins work)
you my friend are just coming across entitled.
343 owes you absolutely nothing. Gamers like you will still always find “something” to complain about.
I wouldn’t expect good items to be free in a free-to-play game, but really, give me an hour with a texture editor after I take an hour to learn it, and I could make the same textures.
Give me a few minutes in a graphics program, and I could make the same stance.
The items they’re selling are overpriced, and they should’ve given players a way to make their own customizations.
Armors are what they should be selling, and even those shouldn’t be more than $5.
Store/economy changes are going to happen gradually over time. The main weekly offer price reduction goes into effect this week, expect to see more changes and some specific content experiments in the weeks to come. Per Jerry’s tweet, they will be listening and learning in season 1 and I anticipate broader changes coming further down the line w/ S2, etc. @ ske7ch343
but let me explane it more this way.
there not going to add for a long time free credits in the battle pass system.
if there going to do it then its not much and then you get that people going to complain its to low and it most become more so thats something you need to remember if there going to add free credits in the battel pass for rewards.
for the second thing it has to do more with the status off the game.
if its full pay to play like the other halo’s are then the same reward system there use in MCC is good for it.
but if the game is Free 2 Play then there not going add a lot off more armor’s or costmatic stuff for free then you need to pay for it if you wane have it with much less or almost notting other way’s to earn the credit for free.
and i am also going tell this since its old news more this stuff.
years ago when there told the matchmaking is going to become F2P the communety have agree in most part off it that there give notting that the costmatic stuff like armor set’s or other skins you need to buy then with real money since thats how it works in F2P game’s more.
its super easy to understand this type stuff if you do some research about the good effect’s and bad effect’s from this type things since you need to accept it in the end.
Yeah but I’d pay £60 for multiplayer with all the armor, not the £XXXX price it currently is working towards.
I get extra things costing money but not basic armor that’s been in every halo before.
Iv already spent more on this one halo than the others (campaign and BP) why shouldn’t I be able to earn some armor or credits to by a daily once every week or two?
Don’t get me wrong. There are a TON of gameplay design aspects, especially customization, that Warframe nocks out of the park.
But in context to how they monetize their game, vs how H:I is currently monetized, I MUCH rather prefer just having a shop, then having the F2P “mobile” style monetization. I mean, imagine if every time you unlocked any free event item in H:I the game was like “Hey, now time to put it in the oven before you can use it! Oh? You want to use that now? FORK OVER CASH!” And its INSANE to me that people DEFEND that system in Warframe.
With that said, even though I would rather see the storefront be the only means to “pay” for content in H:I, doesn’t mean I don’t want to see more changes happen.
I want to see more customization options, I want to see better “Ultimate Challenge” rewards, I want to see a “new player experience” that includes a fair amount of free unlockable.
And that’s why every time I try to get into Warframe I just stop. Remove all the mobile style monetization, remove all the paid EZ Bake Oven nonsense. GIve me the ENTIRE base game for free (like in Halo), and just charge me for cosmetics. Or at the very least give me a “upgrade” option to pay to remove all the mobile time-gating and grind fest vs the paid route.
what you wane see then that there make a special challenges for the campaign mode only?
that the rewards you get there from are more costmatic skins or armor piece’s by completing the campaign weekly challenges?
I never said that you couldn’t play without spending a dime.
The difference, is that the gameplay and progression system is DRASTICALLY changed depending on if you choose to pay or not. And any F2P game that chooses to time-gate my play time is a complete waste. And the defense is always just silly.
My point is that the game becomes intentionally more grindy and more of a chore if you choose not to pay. And the people that do pay get to skip the exhausting grindy bits, and spend more time just playing the game for the sake of playing the game.
Now, if Warframe had the same monetization system that H:I had, I would be interested. Remove all the time-gating, remove all of the paid “fast track” system and let me have access to 100% of the game out of the gate? And only pay strictly for cosmetics? I would have likely been in the same boat you are in.
And this gets even more complex since many players aren’t really playing “F2P” if they engage with trading in-game currency for paid. Because as soon as you do that, you are exchanging your time for a paid currency. Which IS a paid transaction. If you trade 15 hours of currency grinding for X Payed currency, you just agreed on whatever transfer rate that is.
Its even worse imo when you are “paying/trading” to “earn” things as critical as weapon/mod/warframe/etc. slots. Paying for inventory slots just so you aren’t forced to throw things in the trash is… well a trash system. Having to spend hundreds of dollars worth of platinum… just so you can hold onto the stuff you grinded for “for free”… is such a predatory and garbage system.
Imagine if that was in H:I “Oh, you already earned a free seasonal collection! Your account only has room for 1 seasonal set. Please insert $5 so you can actually hold and use your new seasonal cosmetics! Alternatively you could delete your current set to make room for the new one!”
every time I bring up warframe I always put the focus on the pallet system it has for a reason.
since while yes, the other systems are nasty and there, im referring purely to its customisation, which is why I relate Infinite to Warframe
Warframe i find superior for simply letting me choose to use what colours as I please how I want to after a transaction is made, it allows me to choose how I want to look.
Infinite just doesn’t do that for me, which is saddening given how halo has always allowed that in the past for the armours, this restrictiveness though in its systems is ironically damaging the game for me, it discouraged me from customising in a game that literally shows off your spartan any chance it gets during the multiplayer.
I am not referring to any of warframe’s other systems, just its pallet system.
