Everyone needs to read this right now, this is found on Reddit, take the title below, go on google and paste it in the search and read the post:
“With all 88 store bundles leaked, you will have to spend about $1,035 to buy everything! None of these are unlockable by playing. Here’s a full list”
This is what Halo has come to. Even basic CoD has more content when you pay for the full game more than Halo
Never in my life did I think purchasing the base game of Cod vs Halo would end in a free to play mode get additions from the base game…Never. Halo is missing modes and we have to wait post launch. I’m not even sure Campaign is worth paying at this point. Yes all the youtubers are saying its good but that is a small small number compared to the rest of the world. Look at Last of Us 2., got positive review bombs and reviews praising the story. But when it came out, became one of the most divisive games regarding its story that I have ever seen. At this point, ill just have to look basic in default armor that I dont even like. Tragic.
My man, they have you PAYING FOR STUFF before the actual game comes out. They are fixing problems in THE BETA, before the full game comes out. If it’s just merely a Beta, we shouldn’t be expecting any updates or patches until the full release. But no, we are getting it as time goes by ( and even then there’s only so much time before the full release) Realize this isn’t January - April…this is November 22 a few weeks short of it’s release. Don’t delude yourself. They had statements of last year which were the OPPOSITE of what they are doing right now at this moment that we feared in the first place.
And what full game??? WE ARE MISSING ESSENTIAL MODES!!! CO-OP BEING ONE OF THEM. Which means for Halo that’s not a full game experience. AT ALL. IT WILL NOT BE THERE ON RELEASE DAY. Should I mention forge as well? Do I? Or can you remember what they told us about it. Cause it seems like you forgot. And that’s TELLING. By god, the way y’all making excuses for Infinite, leads me to believe Halo 4 was not so bad after all.
Uhh, Warzone paywalls a ton of the CoD content. You get limited access to title specific characters unless you purchase the respective title. While the weapons exist you cannot grind them outside of their respective MP suite, meaning Warzone only, which is a horrid place to work attachment unlocks. I’d say 90% or more of the games skins and cosmetics are behind a paywall either by way of their seasons pass or the premium shop, and nearly every operator pack is at least $20.
CoD isn’t the one to be putting on a pedestal here.
Yeah, this is the “full” game, the experience will be the same the 8th, probably there will be patches and some QoL changes, but the monetization is right like it will be in the “final” game.
I don’t put them on a pedestal, but even this is better than what we have now, at least we can grind more content even if Warzone is worse to level weapons, the BP level up faster and doesn’t require challenges to progress, gives you COD points, but it expires, I don’t like the FOMO practices of Activision,
so I thought that the unexpirable BP in Infinite would means that they want a fairer and better experience for players, I was wrong.
Leaks so far have been extremely accurate. So I’ll believe them as long as they keep coming from the same credible sources.
Also, based on an article that was released this IS the final product down to even the modes available right now. Don’t defend a company charging for -Yoink!- in a “beta”.
My dude Cod on full purchase comes with Campaign, with co-op and Multiplayer…I hate CoD. With a passion, if it was dirt, I would spit on it every chance I could. But it got the basics down. No one is putting it on no pedestal. From what I’ve seen of my friends playing, you could actually customize your weapons after don’t challenges…FOR FREE. No battle pass required.
But with all that said, Halo should not even emulate an OUNCE of what CoD or any of these Battle Royale games are for content.
Two problems with your rant: One, no one needs to or will likely want to buy everything on offer in the shop. Throwing that total cost around like it’s an actual price of admission is dramatic hyperbole at best, flat out dishonest at worst. Two, you didn’t buy this game. No one bought this game. Halo Infinite multiplayer is a 100% FTP MP suite, with all game modes, maps, weapons, and full matchmaking available to anyone at no charge. Comparing it to something like CoD that is charging full price for respective titles MP (MW, CW, Van) that ALSO has a crap ton of cosmetic content paywalled is not only inaccurate, it’s a bad comparison.
My guy, it’s free to play, but to have the full Halo experience, you will need to spend some money to customize your spartan. This is something we had freely after buying a one time purchase bundle, i.e the campaign and multiplayer. I’m sorry a DOWN grade customization system. Seeing as how I can color code pieces of armor of MY choosing.
The full multi-player is out. If you believe this is a “beta” name me a beta that’s happened in the last 10 years where something substantial has changed between the beta and launch.
BP progression is something that 343i have already acknowledged will need continued work to get get right, you and ebery chicken-little out there freaking out over there need to remember that the game is one week into a beta, “subject to change” barely scratches the surface where Infinite BP progression is concerned, they’ve already committed to it and it’s not going to be a “lightswitch” kinda fix, it will need tuning over time, likely multiple times. The COD point rewards in WZ are a total red herring of a bragging point, the amount is miniscule when stacked against what they charge you for cosmetics. Yes, WZ let’s you grind attachments, because it has to. The games gunplay is heavily impacted by attachments, Halo has no such system. CoD also allows people to buy weapons and attachments by way of premium purchases, allowing slight “pay to win” mechanics, should Halo copy that too.
I understand being upset with Halo going FTP, I really do, but don’t start “blue-skying” other games BS practices to make Infinite sound worse than it really is.
Have you seen many AAA games “betas” recently? Like BF2042, the beta name is just an “early access”, the game systems won’t change from now to the 8th December, Many complaints weren’t addressed even since thee public flights.
I dont “blue-sky” others games, I just thought Halo would be better, much better.
Ahh, the “full Halo experience” argument. I love listening to people act like Halo has ever been some bastion of player expression. We had a primary color and a secondary color, a limited pallet for either, that could be applied to pre-made armor layouts. That was it. One game in the entirety of the franchise offered a deep selection of armor and accessories with an in-game progression system. One. That was Reach.
The BP is 100% designed to get people to male premium purchases, and of course it is, THE GAME IS COMPLETELY FREE. If you don’t buy the campaign, guess what? You still get the MP and you get it without spending a dime.
Do I wish Halo would have stayed out of the FTP arena? Absolutely. But sadly most consumers are spoiled twits and literally think game development costs as much now as it did a decade ago, and we should still be getting all the things for a low, one time purchase. If Imfinite offered a full package, campaign and MP bundle with a durable seasons pass for $100, I’d buy it in a heartbeat. But most won’t, which is why the seasons pass model came into existence in the first place.
