Well. just played a match not to long ago on Array where 2 guys tried to use the Armoury glitch to move to Phase 2. Ya… Didnt work. on that map i always stay in Line of sight of that armoury so that way if someone does run over there on the blue team i WILL go stop him since i know exactly why they are going there. also thankfully i had a friend with me. when i saw the guy running over there i told my friend hurry to the armoury with me. and he asked why so ya i had to explain it to him. thankfully i could hold the 2 guys off til he got there and then we continued to protect the armoury together.
i Later told the guy “dont cheat Noob” which made him reply “i was doing it for my scrub team.not me” which i replied with. “IDC about your excuse’s Cheating is cheating PERIOD. You get a Crappy Team Deal with it. we all get crappy teams here and there. your no exception.” afterward i didnt hear from him since.
I cant wait til this is patched so i can enjoy the mode normally. Seriously the fact people have to stoop this low to get a win really show’s what kind of person they are and how they need to cheap to compensate for their low skill. honestly i pride myself for being a legit and honest player when on that map. and not needing to resort to that glitch even when our team is close to loosing when we have no progress on the spire. a loss is a loss and i accept it because you win some you lose some.
So what are your thoughts guys? do you do the same thing and when was the last time you had to stop some cheater. and what was your experience it all.

This is just another mechanic and strategy of the game now that it is becoming more popular. Also confirmed not cheating because everything is working as intended.

Wow you are Naive dude. this is straight up Cheating and exploiting theres no Excuse for it. it needs to be patched and honestly those who do it and abuse it be called out and punished.

Also how is capturing a base before the first phase is done “Working as intended”? because i can straight up tell you its not.
People on the offense team, usually one or two, sneak to the next base, armory, garage, what ever the 3 one is on the other map lol.Anywho, you sneak there, and engage the marines. Usually a ground pound will get their attention, and then, once they focus on you, they will shot and toss nades at you.The thing is, the way is reflective, so, by moving door to door, or even just around in one the door ways, they will eventually kill each other with the reflective shots.Once they are dead, you can camp on the roof (most of the 2nd objectives have roofs accessibly by the surrounding terrain/ objects) where the barrier is, and after 20 seconds, poof, armory is close to capture/ armory lost, a new 6 mins to capture Spire/fortress/garage, and some salty defenders.It can take like 2 mins to get their attention, plus, folks have started guarding the side bases lol.

Normally you have to capture the Garage, Spire, or Fortress to advance past Phase 1, and if you’re unable to do so you lose the game (Defenders obviously win the game). Sometimes, on Apex 7 - not sure if it works on others - people sneak past and capture the armory despite it not supposed to be targeted until the central base goes down. It even says that in the objectives - you defend one at a time, until the core remains.
I highly, sincerely doubt that this is actually intended behavior and it’s simply an oversight - like the sometimes wonky spawning mechanics, the highly sensitive booting/banning automated systems, and the exploits on Orion. Unless 343 comes out and says that this is intended, I imagine it’ll be patched out in a later update so the secondary bases are fully off-limits until the game directs you to go for them.
Good job man. Can’t wait till 343 fixes this. I loved when we were 30 seconds from winning on defense and the time reset due to second base capture. We still beat me in the end. They just wasted their time.
Yea, it seems like in the past 2 days this has become exponentially more popular… I also had a moment where I killed 2 players heading over to the armory on Summit. I’m not sure exactly how the glitch works I just saw 2 players trying to get into the core side door of the Summit armory but they couldn’t get in.
I’ll never use the glitch because I don’t want to get banned but playing defense against it is obviously fair game now that it’s common knowledge…
All I know is, until told otherwise, it “feels” like a glitch because nothing overtly tells you to do it, so until we know for sure, it definitely hurts Assault right now, which is my favorite gametype normally.

Classic tryhards and haters. Always name calling when you can’t properly defend your point. You, my sad friend, are the nieve one. You fail to see that the individual mechanics allowing for this exploit (not cheating, rather legitamate exploitation) like ground pound’s AOE, the reflective barrier, and being able to capture a base with nobody from the enemy team present are all, indeed, working as intended.
Also you fail to grasp that fact is a concensus reached by the majority of the population as a whole, not one person’s opinion, and seeing as how most people here believe it isn’t cheating (along with the game mechanics working to back that up) it is fair play. Unless you have some legitamate points to bring up instead of just crying about it and calling out anyone who disagrees, I’m out. Peace.

That’s great. When ever I see someone cheating or glitching or just simply being unsportsmanlike I always send them a message after the game telling them to cut it out. Luckily I’m not the only one

You don’t have to be a hacker to cheat lol. Just because it’s built into the game doesn’t make it legitimate. Elite ghosting and dummying in Halo 2 was a flaw with the game design, and it was considered cheating and a bannable offense. Same with gametypes of oddball and taking the ball out of various maps in H3… poor map design, still considered cheating.

Agree with Illogical 100%. And hot juicy pie you do know that “taking the ball out of a map” in halo 3 is actually part of the game, right? There is litterally a callout for it. It’s called “play ball” and pros use it after they make it respawn by purpousfully jumping off the map with it, denying it to the enemy team.
