Stop with the 4v4 gamemodes

I think i speak for the “social” fans of halo and thats STOP WITH THE FOUR VS FOURS, literally all of these gamemodes are just rehashed or reused 4v4 modes that just are being used to test new features such as battle royale

yet when it comes to ffa, 2v2v2v2, or any other “social” gamemode it gets left in the dust, why? cuz its pandering to the pro gamers of wanting to dominate the enemy team, yet when it comes to anything infection, juggernaut, king of the hill we dont got crap in ffa

Infinite doesn’t have a Forge mode, making a dedicated playlist for 2v2v2 or whatever specific gametypes you are thinking of is almost impossible without it.

you say that but there are maps designed to have that many players but its only being used for btb or 4v4 with launchsite being stupid big for 4v4s

Launch site needs to be bigger for vehicles. Any map with vehicles needs more space to use them reasonably. I wouldn’t mind if it was 6v6 though, it wouldn’t be too crowded either I think.
I’m not against other modes though either.

Ok lets design a gametype for 1 map (2 if you count Behemoth)

Again, Forge (since maybe 2007) has been backpacking this series. It is what made like 90% of the custom gametypes and experiences possible. Without it most of the gametypes people knew and loved (you mentioned Infection as one example) are nowhere near as fun or as interesting and it flat out makes lots of things impossible.

I hate when people say this. The map wasn’t designed for BTB. They should just remove the flying vehicles entirely from that map.

if they didnt treat it like a money maker and a live service cash cow and PUT IT ALL IN AT THE START we wouldnt have this problem but they instead focused on making it all a bunch of rushed put together modes to try and justify it being free then charge us 60 bucks for the campaign

Why vehicles should be only for BTB? Most can be used by single or 2 people. Unless you say that because you have a problem against a good driver or pilot.
I happen to be a good driver, turret shooter and pilot with high KDA in games with vehicles. I’m also good at shooting vehicles and aircraft down, or taking them over if the enemy got their hands on them.
It’s just a matter of learning to use properly the assets the game and map give you - just like with power weapons and power equipments.

And charge us multiple times to use colors on every different armor core

All 343 had to do was looking at Halo 3 playlists and matchmaking. It was the perfect combination of competetive and social. By now I play infinite exclusively alone in one alranled list because everything else is thanks to playlists and the trueskill system in the back no fun with friends who are on a different skilllevel. Beside the flaws like desync and cheaters drove them away…

But when I think back of h3… man… how many fun times we had in matchmaking

Multi-team doesn’t really work with the new outline system unless you can choose an outline for each team. Yes they could all be the same colour, but sometimes you want to aim for a specific team because their winning or some other reason.

Right Launchsite and bahemorh would be and epic 4 team duos, fiesta mode.

It would be chaotic fun

They can’t, their game literally breaks down if they go higher.

I actually think a lot of it was that 343i wanted to release this game as an unfinished product and hold back ideas so they have something to offer in future Events or Season updates.

It would have been very easy to release the Playlists with, for example, a FFA Swords or FFA Rockets, but (politics likely) they had all ideas put on hold until they can introduce it in time.

So we get to wait several months or even years for this stuff. YAY

I think with the current settings, as limited as they are, the Enemy outline color would be for all enemy players, just like in FFA. But, who knows, maybe they’ll change it up when they start considering some of these things that should have already been planned out to begin with, lol

I agree with this, but it is possible to make a versatile map that works for multiple game modes including Infection (aka Zombies). I always thought Cold Storage (remake) played well with Infection (with Magnum/Shotgun for humans and no shields on zombies). If you go back further, you had Foundation (with similar zombie settings) playing really fun as we try to barricade in one of the rooms. But, yeah, for most part, developer maps didn’t play it very well.

oh another “dedicated driver” guy…

They relied prominently on Forge for many (if not most of) Halo 5: Guardians’ eccentric modes, and since this game suffers from awful dev tools, Halo Infinite will likely be the same way.

Where’s my point? We don’t have Forge. That’s the point. We need it badly and we don’t have it.

I would love infection or multiteam doubles. But it takes too much effort to create modes like those natively without forge, apparently.

This is an easy fix. Just set an option in player outlines for team 1,2,3 etc.

Their game breaks of they make any sudden changes.

I don’t think it’s well held together but remember more than one contractor worked on it and they weren’t all on the same page

They have to use 4v4 because these small horrible maps and the gameplay is made for 4v4. Can you imagine 5v5 or 6v6 on the 3 extremely small maps? The two maps with vehicles could be 5v5 but that’s only 2 maps and this game and it’s modes already have limited content it doesn’t need any help. 2v2? Yeah 343 doesn’t even know what doubles are anymore and they do not care. They can’t even figure out how to fix BTB let alone implement new modes/gametypes… nice joke though.
