I’m a hardcore fan of classic Halo, but I just don’t see what the big deal is with specializations.
First of all, the specializations themselves are just aesthetic upgrades except for the very end. You then obtain one armor mod. Only one of these is overpowered (Nemesis). The rest are completely negligible and only impact the player that has it equipped for the most part.
Not to mention the fact that you have to hit level 50 to even unlock these. There will be at least a two month gap before someone hits 50 (assuming it’s an EXP based system).
If you want to complain about Nemesis I can totally understand that. But the others, it’s really not that big of a deal.

If the skill matching is worth anything (and let’s hope it is) that shouldn’t be a problem. For some reason Reach liked throwing new players against people who have played since the game came out.

I’m using the Adapt and Overcome quote a lot because it makes since and I’ve only used it one other time I believe. It’s not the exact same post. I’m just simply saying how simple it is to enjoy whats in Halo 4 and to deal with what you don’t like in Halo 4.

It’s not a get out attitude it’s a way that I’m saying you can play another game so you can still have that Classic feel to it if you want to stick with Classic.
343i really needs to do a better job explaining these specializations, because the first official release was somewhat confusing in that it appeared that everyone would be running around with specializations, like nemesis, as if they were picking AA’s in Reach. Of course, it’s slowly becoming apparent, as OP stated, that they only function at level 50. . . that being said, I don’t like the idea that someone who plays more than me would have an advantage over me beyond a skill gap, but here’s hoping that the skill system will keep that from happening in the actual game.

You just got to become good and you can probably catch up to veteran players if you start after launch.

Skill has nothing to do with and EXP based progression system.
I think one thing alot of people don’t realize is that the mods you get with each specialization aren’t “better” than the ones you start with, they are just more focused on certain play styles, and to use those mods, you have to give up one of your other ones.
‘‘Durr this izn’t h0w Bungi3 wud haz m4de Halo 4’’
I bet this is what is going on inside peoples heads, when they whine about the new stuff.
Seriously the old Halo formula couldn’t survive today, ofcourse i don’t want Halo to follow the steps of other games. It looks better today while still being original.
I am totally with you on stop complaining. I really like everything i am seeing. But i have noticed that there are more stop complaining threads then complaining threads. SO i think we should stop with both kind of threads

I have my fair share of problems with Halo 4. Halo’s classic formula could work, its actually what a lot of people want.
However, these Specializations are really not a big deal and they could give you an extra incentive to play after you hit the max rank.
Don’t be stupid. If people have legitimate concerns and intelligent arguments they can ‘whine’ all they want. This is a community forum and feedback is recommended, in all shapes and forms.
