Stop whining about everything in Halo Infinite

My brother in christ youre delusional at best. Call your dealer, whatever youre smoking, i want some of that for myself lol.

The game is broken to the bone, the UI is one of the worst UI’s known to man, the campaign is kinda good but the characters are blank cardboard cutouts with no depth, the life service of this so-called “Free-to-play life service game” was non-existent (the community playlist brought in more content in 3 months than 1 year of life service from 343), core features are either missing or broken (splitscreen coop, theatre, social features like party up,…), the game isnt optimized at all on PC, massive desync and networking issues in multiplayer,…
The list goes on and on, and the rare updates we get every ~4 months break more things than they fix while removing every little bit of fun from the game. The tank gun or fusion coil launches from campaign nobody had a problem with, for example

Theres a thing called valid critizism and feedback you know. And its done by people who care about the game in an intend to make it better

I enjoy playing Bot Bootcamp with my nephew who is 7. As well as with my wife and eventually will be my sister-in-law. Bot Bootcamp is an excellent experience that 343 faced and they made the right decision to add it back into the game.

These folks can’t drop a patch without messing up something else unforeseen. This is their standard routine at this point. How can we expect anything great from them when they are stuck cleaning up their own messes after each update? When will they make true progress that isn’t them fixing something they broke on accident or took out of the game but had to put it back in because players enjoyed it. The recently dropped patch caused a new unforeseen bug that makes Objective items drop slower(oddball, flag, seeds). They did this just before an upcoming HCS event lol 343 should have known better, especially by now.

Now the small percentage of pro players that they cater this game after are stuck playing with a “known, consistent bug that equally affects all teams.” Yeah, maybe wait until after the event to drop a game changing patch. A random person on the internet shouldn’t have to explain this to professional AAA game developers with Microsoft resources and money in their back pocket lol.

Three major Halo titles. Hardly any connecting stories. They’ve retconned their own retcons. 343 has done everything in their power to try and get the job done and it just isn’t enough… maybe this is the apex of what 343 can achieve? Well if that is the case, no wonder Halo is laughed at by the rest of the gaming community. It use to reign supreme in online circles back in the day, now it’s a become nothing more than a meme that people laugh at while others reminisce on the old Halo experiences that made the older games more successful.

You’re “a new member of the community” and you randomly call someone out to be a rat, provide nothing constructive yourself, and assume that you have the power to decide whether people’s opinions/feedback are valid and are (not) worth listening to.

Okay sure dude welcome to the community

I honestly don’t think I would respect the opinion of someone who called Halo 3 a terrible game. It just doesn’t seem possible to play that masterpiece for more than three minutes and still be able to call it bad. Its obviously not perfevt, but its as close as any of the Halo’s have been to it thus far.

I’m willing to spend well over an hour and multiple post to give you a list of my personal issues with Infinite and the things I like. Trust me that list is going to be insanely lopsided towards Infinite’s problems.

Feedback is not bad thing it can sometimes look like whining but that’s usually because people can get stressed out when tocking about things we don’t all agree on especially wan they’re passionate about it.
Its when people start threatening each other is when it’s not ok anymore.

I feel like there’s a counter point to be made that people need to stop mischaracterizing people’s problems with modern halo.

There’s been endless discussions about Sprint, missing Elites, missing features, missing modes, weird art style, poor UI, rediculus prices, poor balance, bad story telling, lack of social features, forced crossplay, no assassinations etc etc. Many of these have gone into great detail despite not everyone always being the best at fully describing it. Yet we often hear from defenders that these complaints are ‘baseless’.

343 has also publicly made fun of its audience when talking about their lootboxes during h5 and hit registration issues in MCC (which are still a problem in MCC, h5, and Infinite). They’ve also released 4 disapointing halo games in a decade, one of which made a mess of the classics.

But this all gets swept under a ‘People just blindly hate 343 and have baseless arguments’ catch all. You could make this argument in the halo 4 days, it was just one game after all. But 343 has continued to make the same and new mistakes over a decade.

Similar, when people say they want something like classic halo, it seems a lot of people are responding saying people just want a copy paste of halo 3. As if making a game that just didn’t follow popular trends would be to literally just make halo 3 again with better graphics. As if making change in and of itself is good, instead of how good or bad a change being dependant upon the quality of the change.

The community behaves the way it does because this is the community 343 has fostered. They turned one of the most passionate fanbases against them over a decade in an attempt to capture a new audience.

Also yes, death threats and threats of violence are inappropriate, but accusing everyone that doesn’t like 343 of being people who send death threats is also acting in bad faith.

EDIT: Somewhat unrelated note. Is there a reason why there’s a recent uptick in people multi-posting saying they can’t edit their posts? I’ve edit this one like 13 times (Even though it says 3).

There’s a 5 minute grace period for edits which keeps them hidden, and I believe a cut off point after a certain number are made as well as one for if an amount of time has passed

Weelll, not really.
All the original games had the same max movement speeds.

Reach and 4 had a liiiiittle slower top MS.
Halo 5 had the highest MS.
Can’t comment on Infinite.

Constructive feedback is important.

Toxic whining is counter productive.

And it’s not a fine line.

compleet wrong are you.
there have screw it up total with halo infintie.
the multiplayer is compleet broken since day 1 and not has been fix at all good.
the contant flow is compleet rock bodem more its the worst in the gaming world there is.
the rotation playlist is the stupids thing there is since nobody has ask for it.
there have waste the compleet open world setting from the campaign.
and then all the broken promice’s there have make are also false.

it cant become worse what there have done all so whining about it has no use since there do it on there own to make things worse.

there is notting good to tell about halo infinite at all its only worst things and how things sucks there can talk only since there is compleet notting at all good at all to talk about the game or the developing company since its there own fault to release a broken game to use and not fixing it good or tell us things since there not listing to the communety feedback at all and are listing to us.

what constructive criticism do you give when describing the way the state of the game is making you feel? I’m not optimistic about the future of halo right now. I heard they’re moving to unreal engine. I heard they fired / let go the writing teams.

What’s the constructive criticism here? What can I say?

They’ve been doing this since the Bungie era.

You can say whatever you like.

Just don’t go overboard with the hyperbole. Problem ‘x’ ruins Halo. Chances are it doesn’t.

Appreciate that your individual feedback is subjective. Lots of people will disagree with you on that particular point.

And along those lines, don’t assume that an echo chamber, such as Waypoint, reflects the views of the community as a whole.

Don’t abuse 343.

And don’t abuse other posters.

And finally, don’t be afraid to talk about the good things. Or even just aspects of the topic you are broaching.

It’s no surprise that Waypoint comes across as “whiny” is the negative focus. Most of the posts are negative. And you only have to look at how the occasional “positive” post, when they happen, is drowned in a wave of toxic bleh.

@Darwi Exactly this, based af

1 step forward and 2 steps back. Nothing new here except the fact that it’s kinda sad after a decade.

Protip, for free no less - whenever you see such obvious clickbait title, just hit those three dots and select “don’t recommend me this channel”. I’m dead honest, don’t give those garbage Youtbers a single click, that’s the sole reason they’re doing it
