Stop wasting my time and slowing down my gameplay with excessive animations

Oh my god every animation is so beautiful and elegant and smooth but lordy are they slower than molasses. I can’t count how many times I’ve simply been screwed in the heat of the moment by how slow the recovery animations are from coming out of a grenade throw, reload, or melee hit. The TTK is too fast for this. Other animations, power weapon/equipment spawns have this super pretty materialization that adds seconds to a countdown that already hit zero three seconds ago and the power weapon/equipment I need has only just appeared when my shields have just popped (and what’s that no my aim-assist is broken because that glitch hasn’t been fixed either). Which is now three seconds too late. Not to mention how much slower the unracking animations are for weapons is now. Why does the SPNKr need to spin 3 times. It used to rotate 90 degrees once in either direction then be ready. Venting is ridiculous. Not only do I have to wait for the weapon to cool down I have to reload it now? And don’t get me started on snipers that don’t descope automatically to reload anymore. cough Skewer cough Is it just me or did someone who was contracted by 343 a great animator but never played Halo before and made these excessively lengthy and beautiful animations for your SPARTAN to perform but now they can’t be changed, removed or sped up because no one that works there now knows how to fix anything in the engine.

You’re a 2 ton super solider in a suit of power armor. NOTHING should be slow.

Oh and I don’t care about seeing my fireteam before or after matches. It looks super cool. But it’s another superfluous series of animations that are irritating to always see when you just wanna get on with the match.

I agree, the TTK is way too fast for these slow Reload, and melee recovery animations.

Right? I only ever seem to die when caught off guard in ranked or by the extremely limited radar in social or when I’m in a recovery or transition animation. I think swap weapon is an immediate animation cancel. But you still have to wait for the next animation to begin. Like what are those 2 or so dead seconds after you raise the BR post melee when engaged in CQC before you can fire again. You’ll have the headshot lined up within a second but just can’t fire for an additional second? I have fast reflexes but I’m not consistent. The animations are literally detrimental to my play style.
