Sorry to complain but I can’t stand this map anymore. Why? Well its unbalanced in dominion and its kinda balanced in Big team. I wont get into detail about how its not balanced, but im tired of playing this map. Especially in dominion. Its the only voted for map!!
Personally, I love shatter and payed for the pass to get the map pack and i just got into a lobby of dominion where the choices were: Shatter, Exile, and Longbow. Guess what map won? The map the almost entire lobby just played… EXILE won 5 votes to 2 on Shatter. 7 out of 10 of my last played dominion games have been on this map. Its seriously getting annoying.
What is so good about this map that makes you vote for it, over a map you just payed 10$ for??!!

I think Exile is a great map (minus the Gauss Hog at times)…
The one I think gets over-voted is Ragnarok. 90% of the time that map becomes a DMR off between one team in the middle and the other team on the sides/base with no movement with a massive “no mans land” in the middle.
People do definitely need to vote the new maps in though, I think they are great.
I actually see a good variety of maps when I’m playing. Obviously, a couple get more votes than others when they’re on the list (Ragnarok, Exile, Longbow), but the list is usually varied, and they’ve been outvoted plenty of times (well, not Ragnarok, but it shows up only a little bit)
It used to only be BTB Ragnarok, but ever since IGN put Exile in the top 10 Halo maps of all time Exile is voted on the most. I can think of 40 Halo maps better than Exile.

So you don’t want to get 50 kills with a Gauss Hog? I would actually like the map if something was done with the vehicle balance. I swear almost everyone who is first in the post game stats has Gauss Hog as their TOD, lol.
exile isn`t a bad map, the way they set it up though is just downright stupid. is there a single thing in the game more powerful than the gauss hog? whoever thought giving blue team a gauss hog and the red team a chaingun hog most have some serious issues.
longbow is decent, little too big but at least there`s a central part of the map to hold down, Im speaking of course of top-mid.
vortex and meltdown are simply too cluttered, games simply take too long to finish.
ragnarok is by far the best BTB map, its pretty much perfect.
I don`t play dominion all that much but I can at least give you a BTB perspective.
people vote for what they think is best, now its true that everyone has a different opinion but generally speaking the best maps are almost always voted for the most, thats just the way it is.
PLayed some Black ops 2 just the other day and they had by far one of the best systems for not getting the same map over and over again, after a map have been played twice in a row it gets locked and you can’t vote for that map that is one thing halo 4 can take in.
I’m really liking Shatter. Longbow is another favorite. Every since Halo 2 Lockout I tend to give snow maps an extra plus ;). I don’t mind Excile, but I’m getting real tired of Ragnarok.
I’m with you, OP. I can’t stand playing on Exile. It’s a voting option most of the time, and at least half the time, it’s voted for in BTIS or Dominion.
The gauss hog isn’t the only problem on that map. The center base is a deathtrap because of all the grenades thrown in there.
Also, I don’t get how people are still complaining about Ragnarok always being the map that’s voted for. It’s hardly ever an option in my games.
Exile is better than both of the new maps. I prefer it over the crimson btb maps. I miss Ragnorak actually. It doesnt show up as much since they reduced its frequency in coming up in the btb playlist.
Not hard 343 (then again you did put wraiths on longbow for some reason, like seriously, wraiths can only utilize 10% of that map effectively [The Strip along the coast and that’s pretty much it]…)
Hell, you could probably fit a Scorpion on Vortex pretty well.
