Stop tossing around bullet sponges

For quite some time the Legendary difficulty makes just about every enemy with shields bullet sponges, rather than actually raising the difficulty and the AI itself. Cough Promethean Knight.Cough Making the enemy a bullet sponge with weapons that for whatever reason magically do more damage, doesn’t make the game more difficult. It makes it tedious.

It also doesn’t do the enemy itself much justice either. In Halo 4 Elites are thrown around way too often, and they most times clutter the area. Because of how often they’re tossed around, they lose their sense of power and authority. I don’t feel like I need to do as much as I did in Halo CE or 2 when it comes to them, and I don’t feel as threatened when I encounter them.

Don’t let this Halo suffer from this anymore. Surely with the new Xbox One, 343 can do something about it.

Yes they lose their sense of power and authority due to their frequency.

In the first two Halo games, it was possible to amass them along with others (this is known as megabattles). But it was a controlled, optional situation. Being forced to engage large numbers of them is not what I anticipated.

No doubt this needs to be addressed. The elites were laughable at best in Halo 4 uttering gibberish and plodding around, and prometheans just stared you down and ate bullets, especially on the higher difficulties.

What I really hate about this problem is that it can cause a lot of so called power weapons to be useless.

Particularly CQC weapons. Automatics, Shotguns and melee weapons all become to weak to do any real damage but at the same time it’s made it harder to get close. The only exceptions being the Needler and Saw and they still make me feel like I’m shooting Styrofoam at times.

More risk, less reward. It just takes the fun out of my favorite weapons while snipers and explosives retain their usefulness.
